Ah no sorry there's 6/7 good sides given how utd spanked us despite us playing well how well Southampton play and then there's arsenal, west ham and such

Just because the top two are another level doesn't mean we can rank those with sunderland

I get what you are saying MITO but you have to remember Chelsea couldn't beat this Sunderland team. The same Sunderland team pushed Mancity to the end just last week. At the end of the day 3 points will always be 3 points. I am happy because I am seeing a young player showing the potential and skills befitting his price tag. Now the key as you say is more performances like that over a longer period.

Is there anyone thinking we should let Markovic play that RWB role as it builds on his tactical discipline especially when we lose the ball? Remove Gerrard and Borini for Studge and Sterling and that is one rapid team we've got in this formation.

Yet Sunderland were god awful on the day due to their own set up

They played too deep so yeah great the lad got the one goal and others could've had more but in the end other games don't really count Sunderland were flat compared to games I saw them in

Happy that Markovic has improved over the past few weeks. Still has a long way to go and I look forward to seeing him progress.

We haven't seen him hit top form yet - he was brilliant at Partizan and Benfica. With Lallana and Gerrard both injured, I hope we do see Marko play in a more advanced position.

He's very quick

The End.

A lad with his pace will always cause a problem or two, but from what I've seen of him, he's not all that.

Come on MITO we've had enough miserable ****e this season....we played ****ing well on Saturday and should have won comfortably (and I mean by 4 or 5). Sunderland aren't the best but they sure as hell ain't the worst. Sunderlands set up helped ours but others have this season and we've all too often failed to play anywhere near that level. Enjoy the good performances as much as you hate the bad <ok> The game will grind you down otherwise la <laugh>

Wake me up when he picks up the Balon D'Or lad....

zzzzzzzzzz

So there are two groups of players:

  1. The best player in La Liga
  2. Everyone else

<laugh> that's how a [HASHTAG]#bitter[/HASHTAG] doesn't have to face the [HASHTAG]#reality[/HASHTAG] of his own players

Yet again you define your own stupidty with drivel.

All I'm saying is evidence of the eyes is rarely wrong and for whatever reason the boy was really poor and never showed even a glimpse of oace even in his first 3 months. No at least he looks decent.
The point is that people were writing him off after that poor start.
We know it's the owners' policy to buy young players with potential for the future. That's a risky policy in many ways- some promising kids never make the grade- but the players need time to grow into their game and shouldn't be judged too soon. Some will make it, others won't, even the best judges of potential will get it wrong often enough.

I was squarely on the fence with Markovic, still am tbh. He's been good recently so we know he can do it but so far at Liverpool you would have to say the recent performances are the abnormal. Given time, he could become a very good player but he needs to do a lot more yet.

I think we have been very premature on a lot our signings. We cannot really truly judge them till next season. If we turn this season around Rodgers will have had his first two seasons in one. I feel we should concentrate on Europa as that would appear to be our best chance of CL league, as I think we are too farbehind in league. Our Feb fixtures are scary!!

I would say that most of the criticism has been levelled at Balotelli and Lambert as in Studges absence we are lacking strikers.

Sunderland are draw specialist.. they were looking for a draw, unfortunately it backfired.<cheers>

too true... both winders ins a supposed 4-3-3 were playing as full backs virtually it made it quite easy for both our wing backs really.

and coutinho too...

in reality had it been 0-0 on 35 mins we'd have been talking about potentally lots of missed chances and yet another failure upfront... as it was markovic did well, made a good run and took his chance. Fair play for that.... now do it more than once! .

thats why gerrez's statement above is also quite sensible on the topic.
