Hull Kingston Rovers duo Liam Watts and Ben Cockayne have been banned by the club for "alleged breaches of club discipline". The Robins have suspended both players indefinitely while an internal investigation is conducted. A club statement read: "The club will be making no further comment or taking any further questions on the matter pending the outcome of an internal investigation, the timescale for which cannot be determined at this stage. "Everyone at the club intend to concentrate all efforts on ensuring a strong end to the season." The announcement casts serious doubts over Cockayne's future at the club. He was reprimanded, fined and handed a final warning as recently as May for allegedly making racist comments about a taxi driver on social networking site Facebook. The 27-year-old full-back had been the subject of a police investigation over the matter, although the case was later dropped. The player received "a final written warning with regards to his future conduct". He had previously been banned for two months by the club in 2009 after being given a 12-month suspended jail sentence for assault causing actual bodily harm.
