Only problem I have with Welbeck is his lack of shots/goals ratio, I have always seen him as a frustrating CF..not the dead eye dick that we require, but to add depth I'll take him at this stage.
His original contract at Monaco was based on paying no tax I think so it's probably in the right region

It's a ludicrous amount to pay for a footballer on loan.

And then you get slapped down by FFP. :thumbsup:But if he scores the goals which wins a few cups, small price to pay.
How physical is Welbeck? Can he hold a ball up?

Danny Welbeck is well liked by Roy Hodgson - among others - but has only scored 26 Premier League goals in his career.
Twenty-six more than Yaya Sanogo though...
FFP is never going to affect Man Utd.They have more to gain from it than any other club. And then you get slapped down by FFP.
lol i love the optimism of some:
Conor Harrison: If we get Huntelaar, Welbeck and a CDM/CB I would be more than happy.
We might end up with no defensive cover AT ALL and he still has hope for 2 strikers on deadline day.

That is the reason why you and ourselves have been the most voiciferous in favour of FFPWith you guys not too far behind once stadium is paid for.

Miguel has leftAre we really risking not getting any defensive player by the end of the day?
Thing is no one from the academy even has the quality to be backup CB. I've seen plenty of Miquel and honestly he is crap. If he had any hope of making it he'd have shown it.
