From the videos I've seen and what others have said, he's FAST, but he's also got a nice finish. With Jelavic's ability to head the ball into space, plus his hold up play this is going to cause a lot of teams problems. I do like Long, who's gone, but I think Abel might be a better fit for what we've got and style of play. My ONLY reservation is that I haven't seen how he is in passing, and more importantly if he's selfish. Because with his pace, he can open up defenses, and do a one two with Jelavic, which Jelavic needs, because he's a one touch goal scoring machine, he just doesn't have that right now. I'm just happy to see us showing real intent in the transfer market and building a squad that can do well this year but develop year on year with future additions. My fear when we were relegated was that we might never experience the premier league again so soon and I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who ever believed that we would spend nearly 50 million pounds in 2 transfer window and not panic buys but real quality and not big money earners out for 1 last payday. credit to steve bruce and his backroom for identifying the right players and being able to persuade them to join a club like ours ahead of others such as inter milan and benfica.
