I think it was before the loan but after they sold some land for 100x it's worth to the state or something like that.
From what I gather the Man U debt is now down to circa £250m from an original £660m although there is no explanation of how they repaid Pay in Kind (PIK) debts a couple of years ago and I assume the bonds they sold will mean a dividend return at their end or interest along the way???
Real's debt as reported in 2013 was circa 650m euros inc 90m owed to the banks. The rest is owed to other clubs, government etc. Makes our little transfer installments look silly. They also have big plans for their stadium!!!
Barca's debt is apparently down to 330m euros
Both Real and Barca are being investigated over 'illegal state aid namely ludicrously inflated prices for land deals and favourable loans etc.
