    Pardew thanked himself and his staff yesterday after the arrival of Remy Cabella.

    He said: “I’d like to pay tribute to my staff and in particular Graham Carr, myself, Lee Charnley, Mike Ashley and everyone on the board, who worked really hard for this one.”


    Well....... Nowt like noshing yourself off Alan! The blokes a legend in his own mind.

    Incredible, we've not even had to wait for the first game of the new season for him to make a complete t1t of himself.

    I was waiting for someone to mention this. I don't think I've heard of anyone actually paying tribute to themselves - at least not while being serious.

    Has anyone got a link to the interview where he says this? I know it was on nufctv, but they sometimes make their way on to YouTube.

    If he did say it, WOW!! This man truly does operate in his own little world. To be fair to him, it's probably the only way he was going to get any recognition for successful transfers. Mike probably said "Go on Alan, give yourself a pat on the back. You've earned it!".

    I really like this.

    Yes he sounds like a tit, but if he's gonna say well done to everyone else, then he may as well ensure that his name is there as well! I assume he had a part in the transfer. Hell, I'd want to be recognised if I brough Cabella to the Toon!
