Why is everyone so desperate to sign Borini...?

Through bias I can always see Newcastle doom even if it's not there ........ this is different.

There's something seriously wrong at that club and the Mags know it.

They're already ****ting their pants about the derby matches.

Borini has stated that his preferred position is striker,so for me he has already shown he can play down the middle or on either wings.
So get him signed oh and he is only 22/23

It's a squad game and they're both very different yet versatile players. They'll both get plenty of game time I reckon.

They`ve known that for a while I think but now it`s developed into a hatred going both ways.

Shame I think. I`d be pleased to see them below us for ever and ever but not destroyed. Bad crack altogether that like.

A player already in the England squad, or aspirations to break into it within a year or two, isn't going to sign for us mate. We have to be realistic and accept we aren't a glamorous club. We would have to be consistently a euro qualifying team, top 6-8, to sign that next level player.

It's a long shot but no more so than Borini imo, why would Borini come here if he aspires to be in the Italy squad? Both enjoyed good loan spells here, are at a similar age and situation at their clubs. We can only ask.

Borini isn't in the Italian WC squad. And we haven't got him yet.

You're right though, nowt wrong with asking.

I hope we keep Giacca. and perhaps also sign Borrini, Verginni and Alonso on permanent contracts, all three are young and gave us something different last season, but they are not world beaters by any means and we should only offer sensible money, and not be held to ransom by the likes of Rodgers. There are plenty of players out there, and I am sure Lee and Gus are looking at the options, lets hope they surprise us and come up with a few exciting additions to the squad for next season at a sensible outlay.

Actually, most of us couldn't give a monkeys about the derby games so don't flatter yourself. We are more concerned for our premier league status, as you should be judging from your signings. It's like a Brucey window all over again, going to market and coming back with 20million quids worth of below average cloggers.

Borini would be a great signing, we know the quality he has and he got better and better as the season went on. He and Giacc can play in the same side. I see Fletcher and Wickham being our 2 main strikers next season. We need to sign a quality central midfielder and some defenders.

Borini is a winger who can score and create goals, that's a rare quality and luckily for us its something both Giacc and Johnson can do too. We need all 3.

It was a different story when you were winning them. I know loads of mags, family, friends and colleagues, the only ones who haven't gone quiet are the ones who are too stupid to shut up and keep their head down <laugh>

Newcastle supporters don't care about the derby matches <doh>

I think I'll have the idiot's comment as my signature next season, "Actually, most of us couldn't give a monkeys about the derby games!"

Who elected this dumb cracker as the official mouthpiece for 52,000 screaming Geordies?

The only match they sold out all season but they don't care ........

That "elected spokesperson" line you use is really starting to send me to sleep. Surely you aren't so unintelligent that you can't come up with anything other than a generic retort to almost every post?. And I didn't smash up anything <ok>
Why would we need to go quiet, you have finished in the bottom half of the league ever since you returned, you've never finished above 7th ffs <laugh>
What I'm saying is, the derby is the least of our concern when we are actually frightened of dropping out of the league. Did you really just make a joke about Newcastle only selling out for the derby, when you couldn't even sell out for it <laugh> <doh> <doh> <doh>

Because we need more than 11 players.

What happens when one suffers a dip in form and all we have on the bench are "squad players". Hopefully Gus realises we need competition and the ability to mix things up when needed.

Also, what about our cup run ?
