I said this morning I would try and write a positive piece about the appointment of Neil Adams so having had all day to think about it here goes!
1. Having already been in charge of the squad for 6 weeks, he should be ahead of any outsider in terms of knowing what we need to do this summer.
2. He has vowed to play attacking football.
3. His best tactical performance ironically came in a game where we were defensively excellent so maybe he has that string to his bow.
4. He has won a trophy as a manager, albeit at youth level.
5. If he does a good job and we win promotion we could all bring inflatable bananas to the final game.
So there are a few positives to be found. Obviously there are lots of negatives too but I’m willing to bet that had Malky Mackay, the outstanding candidate for the job been appointed, then a fair number of fans would have said its the end of the world and forums would be in meltdown right now.
So let’s all make a vow ourselves, that we’ll give the guy a chance and see how he does. It's horribly risky and I’m far from convinced that this is the right avenue to proceed down, as are many others, so go out there Neil, do a great job, and make us look like fools
