Short should pull the plug on PDC asap, i'd even say today to save our season.

Let's have a look at his biggest mistakes which have led to the position we are in today:

1. Cabral - Against Tottenham, Man City, that Danish club (forget it's name) and Fulham, Cabral was instrumental in midfield and had a dynamism in there we had lacked for years. He was then inexplicably dropped against Southampton. A good point to note is against Fulham we had 58% possession with him in midfield, since then we haven't had over 50% possesion in a game. Coincidence? PDCs' excuses he's not physical enough don't wash with me and he's surely more physical than Vaughan, Colback or Larsson even Gardner. He then played against MK Dons and and U21 and didn't perform but i don't blame the guy. PDC obviously riled him dropping him for no reason and the smoking rumour(that PDC won't play as he has a few cigs a day) won't go away. PDC can not afford not to play Cabral when our midfield is so weak and he clearly out best player in that position by some distance.
2. N'Diaye - PDC bemoans that lack of physical presence in his midfield, then why send this guy on loan? Clearly green when he joined us but he's 6ft 2in of muscle and pace and was getting better and better as his 6 months at the club went on. Dominated the midfields of Newcastle and Everton. Ridiculous how PDC just ships him off when he should have been kept over Vaughan and Larsson! Again as with Cabral the centre midfield is very weak and it's still practically the same centre mid that cost O'Neill and Bruce their jobs!
3. Tactics Against Southampton - As usual the midfield was overan but what we did have was a 1 nil lead. Cue the tactical genius in Di Canio and he brings Roberge and Cabral off the bench shoring everything up to hold onto the lead......oh wait no he didn't!! He brings on Wickham and Ji and we go on to continue being dominated until they equalise.....sigh!
4. Fletcher/Altidore Pairing - One of the positives i think most of us all agreed was Fletcher and Altidore looked a decent partnership second half against Arsenal. A lot of us were interested in seeing them line up against West Brom but again PDC had other ideas. Ignoring the fact Altidore 'scored', had a decent game with Fletch, (probably had some increased confidence) he drops him for no reason for the inexperienced Borini. Another major mistake by PDC.
5. Slating Players in Public - He tells us for ages how good Ji is (which is clearly rubbish), he then realises himself, the proceeds to lambast the guy in front of everyone. Same with O'Shea, he slaughters him in public and he also tells everyone Cabral isn't good enough and is his last choice. Great confidence boosts PDC!
6. Subbing players on 45 mins - Normally players he bigs up like Vaughan, Giaccherini and Ji who aren't good enough anyway. then he subs them on 45 clearly blaming them for the issues and that will ruin their confidence. Yes Giaccherini isn't good enough at left wing before anyone starts. He could probably do a role like Sess but just doesn't have the pace for the left. Stick with Mavrias.
7. Mavrias - Clearly a better option on the left that Giac, tracked back well and took some decent corner's against Arsenal and also the thru ball for Altidore's 'goal' so clearly PDC will start him against West Brom to keep his confidence and momentum going right??? Wrong!!! Again PDC clueless in management! The players will think even if i have a good game i won't get a place so what the f**k is the point?
8. Slating Sessegnon in Public before the game - Great idea PDC, that won't fire him up eh?
9. 4-4-2 - Unless one striker drops deeps and helps out in midfield or unless you have a midfield which consists of two strong, ball playing enforces, or strikers like Rooney and RVP, this just doesn't work in our league anymore. He needs to learn that sometimes you need an extra midfielder to help out expecially away from home or against a big team.
10. His lottery picking of Teams - Apart from Johnson, Celustka, Westwood, O'Shea and Colback he seems to pick the rest of his team from lottery balls. Often no logic to the teams or who he picks to play.

PDC sadly is clearly out of his depth. I could keep highlighting reasons why but i'd be here all day. He's done enough for me to think he's taking us nowhere but down.

If Short pulls the plug quickly our season could saved. I'd personally have Di Matteo or risk Poyet. Di Matteo has the passion of PDC without the explosive anger or falling out with his players, plus he's Italian so will link well with the scouting squad.

Axe him now Short i beg you!

I think we could all pick fault with any managers tactics & decision making, its easy.& part of football.

Like people are saying we were well the better team for 20 minutes, the team he picked, then we concede & there heads drop. So how can that be his fault. We then conceded 2 goals when down to 10 men.

Unfortunately he needs time that he won't get. My issue with him is his big gob. Needs to say less, and back the players more. We need a team mentality, unfortunately he is like Keane in this aspect.

THIS.........he needs to be 100% focused on the job.........and get a decent sports psychologist on his team........for himself as much as anyone else!

I think even a 12 year old would realise that if you're getting overun against Southampton and you're holding on, batten down the hatches.

His tactical errors need highlighting as well as his mental state!

He is embarrassingly out of his depth and should be relieved of that embarrassment with some haste.

PDC can not afford not to play Cabral when our midfield is so weak and he clearly out best player in that position by some distance.

So after 3 friendly games and a half decent performance against Fulham you've come to the conclusion that he's our best cm? And Di Canio is wrong not to play him? Despite Di Canio seeing him in training every single day? The possession stat you mentioned is ridiculous. He's had two awful games against MK Dons and Liverpool U21, but that doesn't make him bad, just as playing decent in pre-season doesn't make him good.

N'Diaye was told he wasn't going to be an automatic starter, which is why HE chose to leave. His words

How many times have we had a lead and sat back for the rest of the game and ended up conceding anyway? Countless times. And we weren't dominated and had Osvaldo been sent off as he should have been we'd have picked up 3 points.

Altidore had a muscle problem so wasn't risked from the start. I bet had he started Altidore and the injury flared up you'd be moaning about that.

He didn't lambaste Ji or JOS. Jump off the bandwagon man

What? By bigging them up he'd be boosting their confidence, no? (It's clear to me that anything Di Canio does you find something bad in it) And no he hasn't blamed any individual for any issues.

Right, so the 19 year old who didn't have any pre-season should be starting ahead of the player who plays on the wing for ITALY. I see.

8. Slating Sessegnon in Public before the game - Great idea PDC, that won't fire him up eh?

He didn't slate him. He explained why he left

9. 4-4-2 - Unless one striker drops deeps and helps out in midfield or unless you have a midfield which consists of two strong, ball playing enforces, or strikers like Rooney and RVP, this just doesn't work in our league anymore. He needs to learn that sometimes you need an extra midfielder to help out expecially away from home or against a big team.

Eh? Earlier you bigged up the Altidore-Fletcher partnership, and moaned that Di Canio broke it up... You know by playing an extra CM he'd be breaking the Altidore-Fletcher partenship <confused>

10. His lottery picking of Teams - Apart from Johnson, Celustka, Westwood, O'Shea and Colback he seems to pick the rest of his team from lottery balls. Often no logic to the teams or who he picks to play.

Explain. You're talking out of your arse

You're an idiot and PDC will be gone after the Swansea game if not before!

Sowwy to upset you happy clapping ****!

Actually looking at your comments further it's clear how clueless you are.

Jeremy Pond, Alitdore's pr man confirmed to Chris Young on twitter Altidore had no injury whatsoever!

You're as clueless as PDC lol!

I am if the opinion that he should be given more time, but find it hard to argue with any of the points you make above.

The Cabral and N'Diaye situations are particularly baffling to me

Crawl back under your stone Newtoonlee, you trot out the same old ****e when any manager goes through a bad patch.

When a football manager goes on T.V & states that there is no communication between the players, that tells me there is an awful lot of trouble going on behind the scenes, doe any one agree?

I tried looking up the definitive word in the dictionary - it's somewhere between bollox and ****
