Where are you chaps off to on holiday this year, or where have you been? What do you look for in a holiday?

I'm off to Menorca on Monday; never been before, so dunno what to expect, but interested in any recommendations from those that have been, and any positives or negatives about the island.

Had a short break in Snowdonia in May and a week in Paphos, Cyprus in April.

I'll be in the Lake District for a few days week after next and then Devon the last week of August. I always find plenty of places to visit in this country as a member of both English Heritage and the National Trust there are so many fantastic historical sites all over the place...

I went to Paphos in July last year. Really liked the place, particularly the harbour area. Good running paths between the beachfront hotels and the beaches too.

It's the best of the big resorts over there, Limassol is too much of a port and Ayia Napa is a madhouse. Other nice resorts there are Latchi & Polis, Pissourri and Protaras...

i went to Cyprus April .. .5km inland from Coral Bay and flew into Paphos ... becoming a good shout as third year running, Corsica May, France also, France in 13 days for 2-3 weeks and then Morocco in Sep/Oct. Thanks mate.

Is that the place you're looking at (circled)? Looks fantastic and I'll enjoy visiting.

Menorca is great if you have young kids. Brilliant beaches.

Had a week fell walking in the Lake District about a month ago. Not fun climbing nearly 3,000 ft when the mercury is saying 28 dgrees. Usually in the Lakes you need wet gear even in the summer.

Cruising the med later in the year.

Yeah, three Uber_Mites deserving of some time with their hard-working Uber_Father.

Had a couple of weeks on the Algarve in February lovely bit of early year sun going back for a bit more in a month

Thought I'd look in from my break in St Lucia as just woken up from my mid afternoon siesta and wondering what cocktail to try next.

Sometimes, life's a bitch :)

Have a good holiday Ubes, I hope you will still have wifi access to keep us all amused.

I won't be getting away over the summer, I take my modding duties far too seriously!

Nearing the end of my week in Cornwall. Had fantastic weather and caught some excellent waves!!

No holiday this year but when you live in a seaside resort (no don't laugh....seriously) you don't need to get away especially when the weather has been so good, just relax in the garden with a nice chilled rose'......

My wife and I had a weekend away in the Isle of Wight as part of her 50th birthday celebrations. It was fabulous. We comfortably sat out on our balcony until gone 11:00 at night with a bottle or two of wine just enjoying the atmosphere. The lights at Sandown twinkled in the distance, the sea crashed gently onto the shore at the base of the cliffs near us in Shanklin and the gentle breeze kept us cool. Who could ask for more?

This country is fabulous.
