Shola knows he's **** and is trying to make an impression in these worthless games since he knows his time is nearly up. The nerve on this guy, daring to score goals in meaningless friendlies. Scoring from a Cabaye corner? We all know this would never happen in real-life. If he keeps scoring in these games it might give Ashley, Kinnear or even Pardew ideas, and that would be catastrophic.

Unlike some of you, I'm not sentimental about this waste of life.

I too hope we get enough strikers in so that Shola leaves this summer. I do actually respect him though and don't share the hatred for him that some seem to have.

As long as he's no more than a 4/5th choice, I don't care.

The thing is he's more likely be using his temper and deluted strength rather than using his brain to play.

He can't sustain his fitness throughout a season. This is why he always starts off well, and then proceeds to look horribly unfit as the season goes on.

Super Shola Ameobi. I'd like to see him moved on, but we can't do so until we have two over the line (<laugh>).

I couldn't hate the bloke. Very professional and never been a jot of bother. I have just found it painful on my eyes over the years.

Scored a good goal yesterday, hit the ball as sweet as a nut. Sitting just behind the goal and got a good pic of it, by far the best warm up so far.

As per norm though ended up injured after 45mins. Some things never change.
