Sounds promising, if I were a betting man (which I am) I think one of Osvaldo/Damiao will join this window, not sure which yet though.

So what type of player is Leandro? An attacking midfield striker we play wide but can score goals or target man?

I think he his more of a target man. Good finisher but will need the service.

Has enough about him to create chances too. At the risk of bringing YouTube into this, can you imagine having a player who can do things like this?

To be fair, I can do that.

Having the audacity and confidence to do it in a competitive match is a different story though! Out of the 2 players I'd still prefer Osvaldo, beggars can't be choosers though!

@Futbol_Stuff: Internacional have rejected an opening offer of 14m from Southampton for Brazilian striker Leandro Damiao.

Shame, 14mil would be a good price. Anywhere above 20mil euro's and we will have paid to much IMO.

Osvaldo is probably more preferable. He has a more consistent scoring record, and has scored goals in La Liga and Serie A.

Damiao, well he's younger, has played and scored for Brazil - but is unproven in domestic competitions outside of Brazil.

    Either is fine for me...

Osvaldo for me - less of a risk as far as I'm concerned.

I see Damiao scored in his first start since his injury last night....in terms of Saints signing them I am happy with either Osvaldo or Damiao.

Considering the figure (if not the bid) is probably bollocks anyway, the difference between £ and € is pretty much academic.

His scoring record for Brazil is crap - 3 in 19 if I remember correctly, while Osvaldo has 3 in 8 for Italy.

Never suggested it wasn't. Simply that he has played and scored for Brazil at a younger age than Osvaldo for Italy.

Golden boot in the Olympic tournament last year however, so there are two sides to that story.
