    Thanks for post 57,Norway.

I remember an occasion back in the old BBC days when the bastards were gloating about jobs being lost in the Swansea area, whilst further investment flooded into Cardiff. Quite sickening behaviour.

There are clearly some entrenched positions being taken on this forum that will make it virtually impossible for Cardiff and Swansea fans to have a decent chat and banter with each other over our clubs, managers, players and football in general.

Well, despite what some think and have put into words on here, I did try.

It was a genuine attempt to get rid of the unecessary childish forum rhetoric and replace it with some good interchanges based on football not hatred.

As it is now, I look forward to another couple of years avoiding this forum like the plague.

So what you are saying then that those entrenched views are not part of the Cardiff forum then? I've read this thread with interest and can see the point of view of both sides, but its down to the individual posters at the end of the day.

Posting what I see as a condescending thread on here will not fix anything, whether it has good intensions or not the fact is it takes two to tango, and not having the same discussion on both boards just IMO shows that you solely hold the Swans fans on here at fault!

I have posted on the Cardiff forum with no real issues, but I will not be dictated to about what to post, where I post and the contents of my posts, I don't break any perceived rules so I post what I post. I've said it on here before, if you don't like the post or thread you have self determination, so don't reply or ignore it!

This thread is more depressing than anything Dai has ever done.

Close it pleased mods FFS, this isn't going anywhere and it's time to move on.

Exactly the type of statement made by somebody that has no clue of what he speaks about.

As i said you dont have any idea of what the rivalry means. By your words "shouldnt be on a football forum then" neither should alot of the list of teams you published! Celtic V rangers shouldnt be on a football forum either!! Your point is fair in a way though and thats what i said in a previous post, the feeling is too strong for just a friendly rivalry so lets cut the bullshit and just not venture into it.

You are talking about rivalry being good, and i agree with you but Swansea V Cardiff isnt really about rivalry it goes beyond that,i mean even the normal fans ****ing hate each other ! im not talking about the firms/hooligans /ultras either ! football has always been a vehicle for something else,be it social, religous, ethnic or what ever but its one of those that if your on the outside you will never understand what it means.

On a Brighter note Mikra, my company has chartered us a plane to fly over to your town next week for a piss up!! there are about 60 of us going including wives and girlfriends,if you give me some details i will present you with one of my old Swans tee shirts as a welcome gift ! im looking forward to getting my hair cut in the topless hairdressers, hope its just women that work there !! <cheers>

    I agree Dilli.

Don't be so stupid Jager - if you'd read the thread right through, you'd see my explanation of why I posted and it was all a bit too late when I got back in later this afternoon to post a similar oner on the Cardiff site.

Of course there are entrenched positions on both boards - that is something that will be very difficult to overcome and is a real barrier to chat.

It was not a "condescending" thread at all and you like everyone else can post what you like where you like. That doesn't mean it needs to be so vitriolic like some that the thread descends into absolute crap.

Anyone who wants to talk football will be well received by most on the Cardiff forum, and I'll apologise in advance for those over our side who try to destroy it - I hope you'd do the same.

No. What's ****ing depressing is the fact some of us can't enjoy some banter with our Welsh rivals.

I for one do not despise them.

This is getting bloody ridiculous, and we are now forcing posters from other boards away.

The trouble is Dilli that when I closed your thread yesterday it spilled into other threads so imo by keeping this thread open, at least all this crap can be contained in one thread.

I see what you mean Valley, the funny thing is that I think Sparks was being genuine to begin with.

Of course he was being genuine.

Some of us have actually missed the banter and rivalry and are looking forwards to it.

I dont think you quite understand. Its not whats happening now its whats going to happen in a few months time!! when we really want to talk football it wont be possible ,what you are seeing now is a preview of what will happen every week, especially if they win. If we as Swans fans and posters dont stand together and kick their wums into touch as and when they happen then all this **** will fester and grow.

Think of it as weeding the patio before the weeds grow too big and damage/lift the slabs. :)

Ive seen all this bollocks before, you couldnt even post a thread without them claiming to be bigger then Barcelona and how they paid for the buses etc, etc. Nothing changes with them. I respect a few of them but lets not think everything is shiney and happy, they ****ing hate us for getting to the prem and steeling the thunder,id have more respect for them if they were honest about things but they are not..so **** em <ok>

I agree with Norway i'm sorry to say, we've had relative peace here from them these last two seasons, but that is about to be broken now. Yes its about being in the same league etc as they are now in the premier league with us. But once our games are over it would be nice to move onto the next game.

We know this is not going to happen and we will have a load of crap posted on here, and again i'm sorry to say that this whilst it might have its good intentions this is part of that, there will never be peace between our clubs whilst both clubs exist, all we can do is put up with it, and if it gets out of hand moderate the comments if needed.

For me if they are here on the wind up they will get back what they deserve, no matter who they are.

I see this present situation as being instigated way back to 606 when we did have wumming and debates did get very heated but the appearance of Hughs took things to a new low. If anyone wants to point the finger to when things got really out of hand then point the finger at him.

I know that no Cardiff poster is responsible for him and understand why no one would censure him but its the ones who encouraged him have caused the levels of antagonism we have at the moment on our respective boards. To this day he still spouts drivel and very anti Swansea posts on the Cardiff board and from what I can see it goes unchecked.

Therefore when a Cardiff poster visits this board is it any surprise that they get greeted with hostility even if they have the best of intentions? Far be it from me to suggest to the Cardiff mods how to run their board but I honestly think that if Hughs was actually moderated and his vile posts taken down then that might be a starting place to heal some very old wounds. I know that even some Cardiff posters view Hughs as a walking rectum who causes major embarrassment to them. Perhaps then normally mild mannered posters on here might take a breath and calm down just a bit. That's just a suggestion but someone somewhere needs to extend an olive branch and soon.

To conclude, I've tried to stay off this because things have got out of hand but its now ridicilous. No ones died and no ones been banned either.

As per my post earlier about adding NC/NW to thread titles, we just need a couple of ground rules for both forums.

That way we can have threads with some banter/wumming on them and also some decent threads that are totally Cardiff/wum free.

Otherwise the whole forum will be chaos.
