Commentators first words were 'a very falsely run race'.

It's been two small fields so fa at Ascot and two poorly paced races. Stolen both times and Buick riding pretty poorly on both occasions.

Right, I'm on Sovereign Debt here. It can't be another slowly run race, so Spencer to bring the Michael Bell colt last to first and deliver him on the line, winning by a nostril hair. Like he does.

Very interested to see the wonderfully bred Victory Song make his debut tonight at 7.30 Tipperary who I have had a few quid on for The Derby at 270s in hope rather than expectation. This son of Dansili is a half brother to Oaks runner up Wonder Of Wonders and is out of All To Beautiful who is a full sister to Galileo and she herself finished runner up to Ouija Board in the Oaks. Given his fantastic pedigree, its unsurprising to see his lofty entries but he clearly hasn't had a straight forward time of things as he's only making his debut at 3. He's been pitched in against some fairly decent types on his racecourse debut but if he has any aspirations of fulfilling his entries then he will have to win this well but 11/10 seems like a very fair price to me. If he does win this well, then maybe my 3 figure docket could look very decent after the race tonight.

Well done Blue. A good winner. Can't wait to see them step him up in company and see how good last years crop are with a Winter on their backs.

Having a dabble on the French runner Tres Rock Danon in the next at Ascot at 12s. I'm not sure how competitive a contest this is and the former German trained runner has some pretty useful form to his name. He wears first time blinkers today on what is the trainers first runner in Britain and I don't see an awful lot of pace in the race so he may get an easy time of things up front. Not one to go nuts with but I've had an each way dabble.

Can get 26s on the exchange for that one ROTO. Steps to freedom for me with fitness assured and the champ on board.

Drift said everything about Tres Rock Danon who apparently didn't look at all well in the Pre Parade Ring. Got the free lead I thought he would though.

Cheers Humans...be staggered if he gets beaten tbh and he was still 15/8 after Reply's default.

    Nice one Blue...another excellent call.

I remember thinking Ahern was going to be a nice speedy type last season. This race is a minefield but i'll take a small chance on that one being straight first time up.
