I just can't fathom what the **** are the FA is doing. Charging John Carver and the Wigan assistant manager for their altercation aside, Just because some linesman was 60 yards away decided to defer to the referee who was 10 yards away from the ball as he thought he'd have had a better view and better able to judge that means they can't do anything?
Let's face it, if we ever saw a linesman flagging for a foul from the opposite side of the pitch on us, we would've been incensed. The referee should've actively put himself in a position where he could have seen it, and no linesman is going to actively flag for a foul if it wasn't in his vicinity.
And the FA decides that just because the linesman was looking at the ball, he was in control of the situation? Then why restrict the linesman to one width of one side of the pitch in that case?
And then some bloody stupid rule that they can't re-referee decisions made? Rescinding red cards, tagging on suspensions?
If you ask me, Joey Barton got suspended what 8 games, for kneeing Aguero in the arse on the final day. Compare that with a career ending tackle like this from the rugby player... And tell me which deserves a bigger suspension.
FA will tell us : Doesn't work that way.

Seriously you two trying to defend that as a "clean challenge" and "won the ball"? Great. Just great! From now on, I'll just go about playing it the way the fella did. Launch myself in, get a bit of the ball, and put my foot through the opponent. The poor lad got his knee absolutely busted open and I can't believe these ******s are trying to defend McManaman like that. I would have been disgusted if Pardew tried to defend our player if the same thing happened. This kind of tackle has no place in football, he didn't even bother to take a look at the player he had just heard. Even had a laugh on twitter about it. I'd like to put those 2 on the pitch and do that exact same tackle on them since it's a clean challenge.
