So, now everything is settled and we know the full list of possible opponents in the round of 32, I thought I'd make a new thread rather than update the last one I made, given that there have been a few changes. Who would you like us to face, and who would we be better off avoiding?

CFR Cluj
Benfica
Olympiacos
Viktoria Plzen
Fenerbahce
Steaua Bucuresti
Dinipro Dinipropetrovsk
Genk
Rubin Kazan
Lyon
Lazio
Metalist Kharkiv
Hannover 96

If we have our strongest 11 and we are playing well, we could quite frankly beat every single one of those teams. However, that will not be the case and so I hope we get drawn with one of these:

Viktoria Plzen
Steaua Bucuresti
Dinipro Dinipropetrovsk
Genk
Metalist Kharkiv
Hannover 96

No disrespect to any of those listed but on paper our team should come out on top in two legs.

Benfica. Although we'll probably go out it would be nice for our travelling support <ok>

I'm not that fussed about Europe anymore, become a bit of an unwanted distraction. Unless of course Mike is gonna add 3 or 4 to the squad in January. In which case I want Hannover 96. Yes the Bundesliga is strong but they are about 12th and its not too far to travel.

I wouldn't mind the CL dropouts like Benfica who could still be involved in the title race in their league and hence field a really weakened side. Beating them would certainly give us a real confidence boost like it did to Fulham

We should hope for the ****test side we can get in this draw. I don't want anyone calling out teams like Inter Milan because they think it could be a good night.

If we want to get to the finals we need luck with draws

Genk for me, short trip across to Holland and if we have a full strength squad by February (we dont have many more first team players to get injured between now and then) and 3/4 quality additions in January we should beat them.

Or Belgium maybe?
