Adkins and the OS have finally made a statement about Ramirez. I gather he might be injured! I may be overthinking this, but I reckon he could be back sooner than they are saying. Adkins said 6 weeks if stated by the medical department must be from time of injury. Then said he won't be available Saturday....strange thing to say if you reckon he's out for a further 4 weeks. Probably just being hopeful by reading between the lines...what do you think?
Get well soon Rambo, we could do with the boost that you will provide, hope the rest of the team raise their own efforts to make up for his absence.
Probably be on the bench for the Spurs game. Definantly back for the West Brom away game. Presuming his recovery continues to go as expected
They're mixing Clyne's dead leg with Ramirez's. Nat has been in training and might be available for WHU. Ramirez looks as though he might go the full 6 weeks, which means another month although, as mentioned above, he's showing good signs of recovery. Chung might be fit in a week and I'm looking forward to seeing his speed and skill again.
Tadanari had an injured arm...surely once that's healed, you recover quicker than from a leg injury because you have been able to keep some fitness up?
Yeah, I think it's getting OK. Adkins reckons he'll be in the line up for Leeds in the League Cup. Tadanari is close – he's been joining in training a bit more, so we'd like to think that he'll be in a better position by the end of next week. I don't really need to tell you this Fran, as you frequent the OS.
When asked in an interview (on Player), Adkins briefly had that wicked look he sported when we were signing Ramirez. Still wouldn't be surprised to see him back earlier than the 4 weeks quoted.
Big miss for tomorrow, out of those games I'd rather him here for the hammers. I think we are going to have a bad day..........I'm hoping it won't be really bad.
Point being it's not easy to put a fixed amount of time on something like a muscular injury, because human beings are different and heal differently, and it takes time to see how they are recovering. So saying Monday 19th November is not particularly meaningful.
Yes, I agree with you on that, didn't look devastated at a 6 week absence did he! Although I know its not Adkins style to winge or show remorse over things. Very much a get on with it sort of bloke. Would be delighted obviously if Gaston returns early.
Just took the following off saintsweb, hope it's not true:- "I was told today that he was light training but has suffered a relapse (swelling) so recovery put back. Presumably nobody knows anything as there is nothing on here?"
That was always a possibilty if they rushed it, just a set back at worse I would think, they are no mugs when it comes to dealing with this kind of thing, the fact that he is there at all is positive. As I understood from the minimal information received he would not be back until December. We just have to accept that, anything earlier would be a bonus.
