Get rid after the GP this weekend, DLR or Perez sound like decent options. As Ferrari are pretty much a one-car team atm, the extra car might as well be filled with either a promising young driver or someone who can build the car up for Alonso.
Not much to be gained by dumping Massa at or near the second race - bear in mind that it's really "1st Race - Part II" because they've had no proper "factory time" between Oz and Malaysia. Massa knows the car better then anyone else bar Nando, and although Heidfeld (or Perez) would be a better choice next year (or much later on this season) Ferrari don't have any option now that would do any better for them than Massa. Besides, as Ferrari #2 driver, I thought he already was only there for doing in-season testing during the races so that they can improve Nando's car?
Massa's performance today vs Alonso was decent I thought. Still not good enough for a Ferrari driver, but if he can keep that sort of gap to Alonso throughout the season he should keep his seat this season. Let's see if he can keep this up in the race. I get the feeling he won't be finishing anywhere near the points.
Sutil definately, he is experienced and extremely fast, he just needs one good opportunity to prove himself and im sure that he will shine
Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez,Perez. Oh! Perez
Perez will be on Ferraris hit-list with Kimi a possible surprise contender given the great form he is showing on his return.
I'm sorry, i like Felipe but his time is up at Ferrari. He needs to move to a midfield team, rebuild his confidence, and start racing with a smile on his face again.
I get the feeling moving Perez to ferrari for China onwards could potentially ruin his career. The farrari is clearly a handful and by now Alonso knows the car back to front and Perez knows nothing about it. It wouldn't be to difficult for Alonso to gain an early upper hand and then with it being his team he would force Perez to be his number 2. Perez is improving all the time and seeing his magnificent drive today I think letting him continue to develop for the rest of the year in the sauber would be a smart move and then move him to ferrari for 2013 where he can test from the start and stand the best possible chance against alonso.
What a great shame Montoya became so disenchanted with the politics of his day. He was (and is) a great talent. When he was not falling out with Ron Dennis, he was capable of blowing away the field. And despite statistics which may suggest otherwise, in my opinion he was better than Räikkönen at his best. But I do not criticise him for waving goodbye to F1. Oddly enough, the final straw was what he perceived as collusion between Ecclestone, the FIA and of course, Ferrari (with wing-men Irvine, Barrichello and Massa) in supporting an effort to manufacture a legend called Schumacher. Perhaps it's (ahem) 'a family thing' but it seems to me that in retaining Massa, Ferrari are still paying off the debt for the legacy he sacrificed himself for…
Alonso would never agreed but would love to see what Alguersuari would do with a Ferrari. DLR (despite how high I rate him) would be weird pic, kind of another Fisichella fiasco? Don't they have young drivers on the pipeline, as Red Bull does? And let Perez keep growing up without having to deal with Alonso
Perez is one of their "young drivers on the pipeline"! Ferrari have a preference for farming their young drivers out onto the big F1 stage before they allow final 'graduation' to the big F1 team which directs it! [edit: Red Bull are doing their utmost to follow the Ferrari model more closely than any other team. They also prefer their young drivers to gain real experience on the F1 grid (usually through Toro Rosso) before final graduation to the senior team.]
Yes Perez and they have more - just agree with people above that Perez should no go to Ferrari at least yet. Having said so, I cannot see Massa being before the forth race, but if he keeps going on like this, just put a kid on the car and lets see.. ... but they won't do it
Alonso would destroy anyone who joins. I think Ferrari should stop building LEGO and hire some talent in the Tech/Aero department and Massa's performance will improve. I am a hardcore Schumi fan but even in his best years would he ever have been able to drive around the problems in a bad car as Alonso does. All the current drivers are leagues away!
