actually, I believe the form went after the Brighton game in November... we were getting ressults after that without playing well. We are still second.

We are still 2nd, but that gap between us and the playoffs is now a point and only six to being out of the playoffs and many of the teams around us have a lot more momentum. Neither of those were the case back in November.

Things aren't looking good though.
Losing so many games for 2 months or so,it's looking very bad.

Put things into ****ing perspective - when we were in administration and days from going out of business - that was looking very bad. We are 2nd in our first season back in the championship. For ****s sake get a grip.

Some people are still completely deluded - this league is not easy to get promotion from - some people still think it will be a walk in the park. Billy Sharp will play for the first time on Saturday where the conditions are fit for football. I don't understand this complete negativity. We are still 2nd, which is a massive achievement, I was not expecting to be 2nd at this point in the season, 12th would be nearer the mark.
Don't start with all that rubbish again,"Oh were still 2nd blah, blah, blah" yes,we are still 2nd but we've been crap for 2 months,WAKE UP! It needs to stop soon or we will stay in this division,we won't go up.
I would of taken top 10 at the start of the season, but we are in a position to win the race and we have to win it,would be better just to be like Brighton(around 6-12th) than to be in top 2 for 7months and blow it in the end.

We need to dig deep, and holpefully Billy will start all guns blazing. I'm not giving up as it were, but this result does test ones patience! Just win Saints, you've done it lots of times this season!

Dam, dam and double dam. That was a game we should never have lost, and even though it's not quite so bad as losing a League game, the team morale must be at it's lowest. Some good support needed Saturday if we're ever going to re-build what we had. Time to kick something soft and fluffy (no animals will be harmed).

What happened to your positivity, you used to invade the chatbox with constant "We are going up" when you were in league 1 :p

I agree RichK, but we are still above my expectations. We can't get mad with the team, it would just be so wrong, ignorant and a little arrogant.

We were in l1 then, what's that got to do with this season??

Everything.

Surely being second in the championship with a great chance of going up is a good thing? Maybe you should just sit back and see what happens, remembering you have just been promoted.

This game will have no effect on the league table, it may do in their head but it shouldn't. If you let that defeat get to you in the next league game, then you are not ready for the Premier League anyway.

The most important thing about a defeat for a promotion/title challenging team is not if you can be defeated, but if you can bounce back from a defeat when encountered with one <ok>

We haven't bounced back from a defeat recently.
We should be winning these games and losing it like we did tonight is just not right.

We were going for win to try and prevent extra time and thats why we were short at the back for the winner
