Why put Barnard on when De Ridder was at last sounding a threat. Its not a training excercise, we hadn't won the game, did not understand that. Note to Saints, start winning games!

Match against Burnley now the biggest of the season in my book, we massively need to start winning at home. Nothing other than a win will be good enough for automatics.

Well this means we'll lose on sat.
I'm not happy at all to lose to a crappy club and team like Millwall.Very Poor.
For me,this is the worst result of the season.
We won't win on saturday,I hope I'll be proved wrong.

I should be glad, as I didn't want a cup run, but I am worried about the implications for the team - what happened to Fortress SMS?

BLOODY HELL , WHY DO WE PLAY WELL AGAINST THE SAINTS , EVEN OUR LOSS 1-0 AGAINST YOU BOYS WAS CLOSE, AND YET WERE ****E AGAINST EVERYONE ELSE, BEST RESULT OF THE SEASON . MIGHT BE THE BLESSING IN DISGUISE FOR YOU BOYS , BEST OF LUCK IN YOUR PROMOTION, JUST HOPE WE SURVIVE<cheers>
that's been happening to us a lot recently

Stop being such a negative whiner. We dominated the 2nd half and its better than extra time.

Well im normally optimistic but no loosing to Millwall reserves with a pretty strong team is poor.... really need to get form or we could completely blow all our hard work..

for crying out loud fella... man up a bit.

Quite. But hes venting fustration of not only todays game but the last 10 or so where Southampton have been under par and the fustration is magnified by the fact that up until just before Christmas we looked unstopable.

Well, you said we should want Millwall and we got Millwall.

Mind, it was an exciting game and Millwall did the terrible thing and invited pressure which will not work against Premiership opposition.

I thought Southampton had it done and dusted, it will be interesting to see if Millwall can do that sort of comeback against if faced with a losing position in the fifth round <ok>

actually, I believe the form went after the Brighton game in November... we were getting ressults after that without playing well. We are still second.

Yeah, wish you'd turn it on against West Ham and the like. Good luck for the Cup run!

Some people are still completely deluded - this league is not easy to get promotion from - some people still think it will be a walk in the park. Billy Sharp will play for the first time on Saturday where the conditions are fit for football. I don't understand this complete negativity. We are still 2nd, which is a massive achievement, I was not expecting to be 2nd at this point in the season, 12th would be nearer the mark.

Same here. Cup run or no cup run, I was hoping for a win to help arrest the recent slump, especially as our home form has dipped alarmingly over the past month or so. I'll try not to be negative but the winning habit has deserted Saints for the time being.
