Not even someone as thick as pig **** about football as Ashley would be stupid enough to let Coloccini go, with the lack of depth we already have in that area.

Tash, contracts work both ways, Colo has been consistently brilliant for us and still isn't getting called up for the Argie squad - he wasn't overly outstanding in Spain but was a fairly regular international...Maybe HE is the one who wants to move!

But playing for us hasn't overly hurt Jonas' international career. If we make Europe they'll both be watched.

Good point. Also, Colo didn't really pull up any trees until this season. Even last season he was good and dependable rather than world-class. Probably still not quite World Class, I'm afraid to say. That said, do Argentina have any world class defenders?

Who knows but I must admit I wouldn't lose any sleep if they all went. All 4 are massively overrated and probably have small dicks. Why would they want to stay with us when they can go to a proper club.

(there that comment should spark a few words, its like when Begbie drops the pint glass from the balcony on trainspotting)

I think it's his massive wages that are the problem with his new contract. We won't offer him anywhere near as much. Fair enough he's fabulously wealthy, but no man on earth is going to take a pay cut of around £20k-£30k a week to do a job someone else will still pay him £80k to do.

Fair point, but I'd say Colo has been consistently good since his Championship days! How many mistakes did he make last season?

Maybe we can subsidise his pay cut with him being the face and head for a range of new NUFC hair products and he can get a share of profits?

Can I have the tag of 'most negative' person removed please.............

My god. :emoticon-0114-dull:

Nahh, MrTiote was Mr Negative, you're just Mr Argumentative. Not as bad <laugh>

4 players to leave in the next 6 months? Smith, Lover, Harper, Kadar. Sorted. Move along now.

I agree entirely <ok>

Well apart from everything you said, I reckon Demba's hung like a horse!

The only one I see going will be Colo if he doesn't agree a new deal, personally I think he'll agree a new one as his mate Jonas has. I also think Ba will get a new contract not long after he comes back from ACoN (without a buy out clause). Don't think Ashley will sell unless it's for big big money, he's got decent players on lengthy contracts on reasonable money, I believe we'll lose some the fringe players mentioned but replacements will come in and probably of a higher standard and for very reasonable money.

They really have missed a trick with this. They could have done some serious business. Think of all the different hair products! It's very unlike Mike, he'd usually have exploited any avenue. Look at Blackburn they've exploited all their players to advertise chicken. At least Colo has something to advertise the product he is being linked with, hair. Of course you could say that Blackburn have been playing like headless chickens most of the season......................
