Not much Newcastle news to discuss so simple, worst 5 defeats since you've been a Newcastle fan?

Newcastle 1 v 5 Birmingham FA Cup http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/6258857.stm

Stevenage 3 v 1 Newcastle FA Cup http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/fa_cup/9341905.stm

Newcastle 1 v 2 Sunderland League http://www.football-england.com/newcastle_united_1_sunderland_2_1999.html (Was the day before my birthday aswell!)

Sporting Lisbon 4 v 1 Newcastle Uefa Cup http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=182161&cc=5739

Aston Villa 1 v 0 Newcastle League http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8048294.stm (worst performance from a Newcastle team i've ever seen)

Marseille 2 - 0 Newcastle was a heartbreaker.

PS just reading that Villa match report, I totally forget about Edgar getting sent off.

Bolton 5-1
The Liverpool and Man U ones a couple of seasons back.
AZ 2-0. Moussa Dembele was only 19 then, and has proved his potential I reckon. We should go for him

When Man United humilated us home and away (2008 I think)

Man United 4-1 Newcastle Fa Cup Semi Final.

Bolton 5-1

Villa 1-0.

Sporting 4-1

The worst, by a country mile for me, was the Newcastle Birmingham result.

At that time I lived in Scotland, so hardly ever got to games, but as my dad is a Brummie we always get tickets for that match at St James (now I have a season ticket I have to buy extra tickets for any Birmingham matches, though this season we can only meet them in a cup). So, handing my dad this suprise, we travelled all the way down for the game straight after school had finished (oblivious to the chemistry exam the next day).

Within a minute or so it was 0-1, my dad having to ask if Birmingham had actually scored because it was so quiet in the ground (which made me hit him). Several beatings later, he was still trying to jump out of his seat when Birmingham got the 5th...

All the way back to Scotland I had him singing 5-1... So much so that when I fell asleep I had the nightmare I was watching it again...

The highlight was that it was on the TV and I could have revised for that test... Damn.

Still, that Milner goal was a cracker

I knew from the off in the Birmingham game we were going to lose. There was **** all atmosphere that night.

Newcastle 1-5 Birmingham January 2007
Man Utd 6-0 Newcastle January 2008
Newcastle 1-5 Liverpool December 2008
Newcastle 0-3 Liverpool November 2007
Sporting 4-1 Newcastle April 2005

They would be the worst 5 defeats in no particular order, but other bad defeats would have to include
AZ Alkmaar 2-0 Newcastle March 2007
Bolton 5-1 Newcastle November 2010
Derby 1-0 Newcastle September 2007
Derby 3-0 Newcastle February 2010
Newcastle 1-2 Hull September 2008
Newcastle 1-5 Man Utd February 2008

All very bad performances.

Most hurtful, significant defeats we have had:

Toon 0-1 Manure - F*ck off Cantona.
Liverpool 4-3 Toon - F*ck off Collymore. Great game tho.
Blackburn 2-1 Toon - this one really hurt. F*cking Fenton.
Toon 0-1 Partizan - this game was a huge turning point in our recent history. Massive kick in the stomach, downhill ever since.
Sporting Lisbon 4-1 Toon - we had this game won. Then Dyer went off and I think Bramble came on. Disgraceful defeat. We wud have won the UEFA this year.

partizan belgrade game (I remember talking about the champions league to my mate and said if we go through and he said don't you mean when we go through)

losing 1-5 to Liverpool when shay was brilliant but we were awful

sporting lisbon 4-1 we just collapsed

inter milan home 0-4 i think, 1-0 down first minute, bellamy got sent off because of that twat materazzi in the first few minutes.

marseille 2-0 drogba <grr>

sunderland 1-2 watching them celebrate like they won the world cup made me furious

villa 1-0 relegation none of our players tried
