My Grandad turns 70 tomorrow and, as a present, me Mam bought me and him a ticket each for the QPR game. Now I've just looked at where she's bought the tickets for and it's Level 7 of the SJH stand.

Basically, I'm not sure my Grandad could make it up the stairs, he had a heart attack last year and it's taken him a while to recover, he's only just started getting out and about again now so I don't want to risk him walking all the way up as I get breathless doing it and I'm 20. So, is there any lifts or anything we could take at all? It's Level 7, the bit just after the Leazes Corner if you were heading towards the away fans. I'd phone the club but I'm terrible at stuff like this and would probably end up submitting a bid to buy the club or something.

    Any help appreciated fellas <ok>

EDIT: Before anyone goes "why did your Mam buy them there" she is clueless about football and so would have just bought any two tickets that were going

You need to ring them up! If there's a lift, it's probably a lift to the boxes and then you'll have to walk the rest of the way. Alternatively, go very early and just walk up slowly. If you get in contact with NUFC, they might even let you swap tickets for some lower down.

I got the lift to level 7 every week before we moved. Just tell them before you go through the turnstile. They'll put you in a lift.

For me it is, I suffer from phone-a-phobia. Begin to sweat and that. Whereas here I can hide behind the safety of my keyboard :D

Because she was in town, rang me and said she wanted to get two tickets while she was in town, could I tell her where to go, I said go to any of the club shops and they'll sort it out from there.

    Pretty simple, actually.

I sit in block L7B and there is a lift one block from me I think, you always see massive queues for it after the game to get back down. I think the lift is on the very end of L7A.

Aye theres a lift, might be useful going in a bit early though because there always seems to be a queue for the lift and nobody at the turnstiles when I go in.

This! They have lifts for the wheelchair seats. I'd say give it a good half hour before. It is quite a hike so many supposedly fit people use the lifts too (ie me). Ask the stewards as well, they are quite helpful in my opinion.
They have special keys for the disabled toilets called 'radar' keys (meant to be universal across the NE). The stewards have them too if your grandad dosn't want to queue standing up at half time.
After the match, you may need to wait ten minutes or so in your seat.

    Have fun

I'd ring the club and try and blag a couple of sweet seats! But then I am a bit of a chancer. Regardless there is a lift so you'll be fine. But I'd really give it a go with the club, they won't always bite but shy bairns and all that.

Thought you were going to ask for a few of the lads to give you a hand carrying your grandad up to L7 <doh>
