Transfer Rumours Summer 2026 Transfer Thread…

I read an update today saying Hull are the only club to have shown genuine interest but it was with a fairly low bid, I think around 9 million? And that it was instantly rejected and told they want double that. We've not been back in since, despite reports coming out of Brazil saying its further along than it is.

I suspect we will see asking prices become more realistic closer to the end of the window.

Think a lot of selling clubs just see premier league and pick a number out of thin air.

1904 summary:

Outgoing
- Approx 500k for Famewo
- Palmer gone
- Surprised if Joseph doesn't eventually get done, once closer to fitness
- Kamara to Pompey ongoing. Likelihood is he leaves

Incoming
- Vitek keeper they want, but difficult deal with Man U
- Mec a player they like, but don't want to get ripped off
- Emmerson definite interest
- Raskin. Belief behind the scenes a deal they can get done, player wants prem
- Iroegbunam a player they still want. Ipswich like as well
- Meunier they really like. Valencia now favourites
- Collyer they want to sign. Feel they can get on a decent deal due to injury history
- Gelhardt. Probably something they look at later in the window. Mentioned £3-5m fee

Says 1 or 2 new names will come to light in next 48 hours. Now clear of ffp expects things to really start motoring

I agree. He had one decent half of football for us. He’s one of those who gets better the longer he doesn’t play for us. It’s ‘Harry Vaughan is the next George Best’ levels of delusion to think he’s good enough.
He's good enough (as City's recruitment team agree with). . Just a question of fitness ....which if he's over his calf problem shouldn't be an issue.

Time will tell, but he's highly rated at both City and Man U, and they've seen more of him than we have - which is in itself is the problem.

Based on what exactly? He’s barely proven in the Championship, let alone the Premier League. There are people saying Joseph is nowhere near good enough for the Premier League. Some might even say the same about Slater. Collyer has offered nothing apart from a 7/10 performance against Coventry where he wasn’t catastrophic and he couldn’t even hack the second half.

No idea if he’s good enough for the premier league or the championship, we only saw him play for about 45 minutes. And he was good for that.

Coaching staff would have seen a lot more of him so would have to trust their judgement there and assume he’s decent.

There's clearly a reason we would still be interested despite the injury record.
