We've never been renowned for breaking down defences and we've struggled before against worse sides than Ghana.

It's a point,it puts us through and open games in the knockout rounds will suit us better.

Ghana deserve some credit,Gordon wasn't on it at all but to be fair not many of ours were.
It’s almost like we left some of the best playmakers who can unlock defences and created moments of brilliance at home.

Found wanting when it matters again. We’ll probably still get past the group stage but the usual suspects who actually enjoy winning this thing all have that extra know how and panache you need.

Roll on August..

Doesn't it show a massive weakness that all teams need to do us have a low block and we look like conference north players

Too slow and pedestrian against a well organised physical team, Gordon ? What's he about ? For me offers fk all, need a bit of pace when in possession and a smart mind in there, for me I'd be taking Gordon off, and look at either Eze, or Rashford.

Headline writers must be disappointed they couldn’t write the headline “Boston T Partey.”
Guy Mowbray did manage to get ‘Boston’ and ‘More than a feeling’ into a sentence just before kick off.

I see the negativity, but it's really familiar.

We're City fans, and we're used to a team that are utter dog **** against a parked bus.

England will likely beat Panama, scrape a win on pens against some 3rd place scrubs in the round of 32 (which as it stands is apparently DR Congo), then we'll end up against teams that want to play football.

That's where we really see how good we are(n't)

I think we’re good enough to win against teams who aren’t at the World Cup just to make up the numbers.

The really poor thing that struck me about that game was the mood of the England players. From early on they looked tense and frustrated and it showed in the mistakes they made. When they missed chances they looked totally fed up, as if they were thinking about the reaction to the result at home, or maybe the atmosphere in the stadium was negative - I don't know. It reminded me of pre-Southgate England in that they didn't seem to be enjoying it, and the weight of expectation was weighing heavy.
