Aye that one :-) not my favourite politician it has to be said
She's a nasty piece of work, a very unpleasant person who's used the ethnic and gender discrimination cards to get on. When I worked in Newcastle I heard enough stories from people I worked with from all political opinions who'd encountered her over the years and deeply disliked her. She came into where I worked once and she looked like she'd fight with anyone who looked at her the wrong way or said something she didn't like. Never been so glad to miss out on being introduced to someone as then.

She was on Any Questions on R4 a while back, came across as thick as mince.
She not thick as in education wise, she's got degrees in electrical engineering and a MBA from Manchester University business school, but she's very narrow in her outlook and if something doesn't fit it she's not "interested" or aware. That's how she comes across as thick. Like I said earlier, she's a very unpleasant person.

She just wasn't mentally agile at all. She went on with prepared lines and really struggled when challenged and asked to explain herself.

You've pretty much summed up in different words what I said, mate. The narrow view she has doesn't prepare her to be challenged or explain herself. Something is what she says it is but not why it is what it is because she's never looked at it in another way so can't see why it might not be that (if that makes sense, it's been a long day and my brain isn't working as well as it should because of the heat!).

This Tonali situation is increasingly funny ...

... the Mag commentators have gone through three stages.

1 - Tonali is happy at Newcastle and won't be leaving

2 - Tonali would only be tempted by a massive club but the bidding would start at £100m

3- If Tonali goes to Spurs for £85m there's something dodgy going on!

Then the next stage...
4 - Tonali was a trouble maker in the dressing room, glad to be rid/£85 million is a brilliant deal for someone who doesn't fit Eddie's vision and isn't that good anyway....

Newcastle Central MP Chi Onwurah tweeted out a link to her 2018 criticism of the UK government’s response to the Khashoggi murder, saying “if you think the #nufctakeover will stop me criticising the Saudi Regime you don't know me and you don't know #Newcastle.”

Bit of two faced bitchery going on somewhere

One was saying earlier that Tonali doesn't fit Howe's style and won't put in the running ...

... and Miley is a better player so they don't even need to replace him!
In truth, if offered a choice I'd have Miley.
He's not as good as Tonali right now but he'll be better.

Tonali is decent, but hardly ever scores or assists. He hardly ever "makes the pass that makes the pass" either, and in big games is invisible. He works hard, gets about and gives others the ball. If he was called Tonkinskon, they'd be hounding him out.
