With the negative comments, I just feel I need to say there are some of us who believe in Labour. I'm obviously one of the few who believed in Starmer and his straight bat. Disappointed with a few mistakes he made, but feel he should have been given the time. Sad if people are giving up on politics, so with that in mind, I haven't cancelled my Labour DD just yet.

I used to vote Labour as they used to be the party for the people, but they are just the same as the Conservatives, I wouldnt trust any of them

Politician pa and lawyers are pretty much the same cloth! Whilst some will improve things, they are mainly in it for themselves

They all build manifestos, then fail on parts of them.

Said to my mate the other day, if labour (or any other party for that matter) came in and raised income tax by 1%, few would’ve raised an eyebrow if any, as the impact to each individual would be relatively minimal. But that impact to our economy would’ve been huge. If I was paying 21% instead of 20, I’d have no issue with that, might've cost me an extra £30 a month, and the government gets £7bn extra.

You think it's a good thing having 7 prime ministers in 10 years? We used to laugh at Italy for this sort of thing. It's beyond a joke, we are now a banana republic.
Problem is the general public want results instantly, with they are not the shout for change.
No10 is the new Chelsea football manager merry-go-round

I wouldn’t give 95% of them my vote to be a MP.
Worst shower in Parliament I’ve ever seen.

I've never agreed 100% with anyone I've voted for but I've always voted and just chose the person who's values were the closest to mine. I know people say it's not worth voting, but the alternative is just to abdicate responsibility to others. Sometimes you just have to pick the best of a bad bunch unfortunately.

Mentioned before on one of these threads about a reform mate of mine and how I had to explain how coal and oil are formed and will eventually run out. Today's pearl of wisdom from him "labour closed all of the coal mines" sometimes you just wonder if everyone should have been given the vote <doh>

I just feel that Farage has learned how to tap into these people we probably need to introduce IQ tests and if you do not meet a certain level you do not get a vote. I think the level can be set pretty low to eradicate a lot of these people <laugh>

Edit: just watch I'll lose my vote <laugh>

Reform want to alter them to the detriment of women.
Never read what they want to change, so what exactly do they want to alter to tha detriment of women, i have 2 daughters and grand daughter, so I want same rights for all.
I worked in engineering factory my whole life, all people on shop floor men and women paid same money, apprentice's all paid the same money as should be.
So what actual policy are reform going to change to the detriment of women.
You could say the Labour Party is a sexist party, never had woman leader, in Sunderland, only WOMEN could stand to be selected to be an MP, is that not sexist having to force Sunderland Labour Party leaders. to select women MPs

Abolishing the Equality Act and replacing it with the Woman and Motherhood Protection Act.

They are telling women this is a good thing for women when really it isn't.

Have a read of the TUC's statement:

Reform are also looking to change the law regarding abortion. I am pro-life and it's not something I would personally do myself, but I understand the reasons why women would go through the procedure. It's not an easy decision to make and most of the time it's not the easy care free method of contraception which is one of the arguments used. It doesn't sit right with me taking that choice away from women.

Their polices slam the 60's sexual revolution and want to put women back to being little housewives popping out babies. Look up Danny Kruger's comments about this.

He also wants to abolish no fault divorce and reduce the protections given to women fleeing domestic violence. At the moment, no fault divorces are good for women in this situation as it gives them a get out clause without blaming the perpetrator of the violence, which makes it easier for them to leave abusive relationships.

I honestly cannot understand why any woman would vote Reform. They are just throwing the rest of us under the bus along with themselves.

Is that actual policy or from a think tank type organisation because I agree with you on most of what you say. If it is just a random group think type thing, you can find similar type suggestions in all major parties

We know it will run out but not for over 50 years plus,so why are we importing gas and oil from foreign countries this country should be self sufficient for as long as it can until reliable other alternatives are fully in place.
The lunacy continues while we farm out our emissions overseas. In Millibands mind winds don't blow.
What a shambles.
Don't be so clever to think all conservative voters are thick when socialist voters have voted for the present shower of ****e.
Labour are shouting from the hills the new messiah has arrived and on the news this very morning friends of Burnham have stated he is not going to change from Starmers economic direction.
He has been voted on what exactly.

"Burnham burning down the UK" , "Burnham is just Starmer in jeans" it's already started..... And he hasn't even been made PM yet. If he does become PM how long before he is is the " worst PM in history"? I'll give it 3 days :emoticon-0140-rofl:
Yes the character assassination start pretty early these days
