I agree, but the judge did say the dark clothing didn't show up the blood from the 8 knife wounds. The lad was bleeding out, his body had probably gone into shock hence his poor communication. As I replied to Smug, the judge believed the officer had reacted to the best of his capabilities in a very difficult situation. Possibly the only way the officer could have known about the multiple stabbings was if he had raised the lads top up to his neck.
And that is what should have happened remove /raise clothing to check another error no excuse.

I am happy with the ban and agree with everything you say, I am not happy that I will have to upload my ID if I choose to engage in social media apps.
Its a sly way to implement his digital ID.

Hmm, with two youngish g'kids, who are obsessed with their phones...it could be a good thing mentally and physically, although more research proof would be useful.

As for ID cards digital or otherwise, my thoughts are with credit cards, passports, driving licences even all those utility/council tax etc even library cards.. going digital is not a big step. Although having said that, I am not sure what extra it adds, unless you are an illegal immigrant?

If it discourages more adults to engage with the real world, rather than social apps or porn, isn't that good too!

You should have the option not everything online is great or easy.
Cash is king but governments are slowly turning the screw on how you spend/use your own money.
Far to much overreach from governments is wrong but I do agree with u16s use online should be curbed.
Also more pressure should be put onto parental control.

Your not very fast comment added a negative slant that really wasn't called for on a serious subject imo. However, it was a good point to know the timeframe.
I was thinking of how many could lose their lives in the next 9 months.
That’s why I think your comment is pretty sad to be honest.
New law brought in, in about 2 days against Palestinian supporters,
9 months to stop your bairns committing suicide. Does that seem irrelevant to you?

I believe you are misjudgeding the speed of passing a law with that of implementing software changes online

Will forums like this require "ID", is it classed as "social media ? I don't do Faecesbook Twatter or owt like that so couldn't give a toss about them

I don’t care what it is mate, I just think it’s pathetic taking 9 months to pass a law to stop corporations killing your kids.

There’s nothing to stop parents implementing the ban by the time I’ve finished this post.

Passing ‘instant’ laws is what the likes of Trump advocate and leads to mistakes and confusion with endless loopholes which make it all pointless. This law, as with all of our legislation will have to be examined, ratified and checked by lawyers otherwise the country could end up fighting endless costly legal battles with huge corporations.

It also makes it less likely that subsequent governments won’t be so inclined to immediately change the laws.

I agree, I monitored what my kids were accessing, I got some grief for it but I would do it all again if I had to. Luckily mine are kind of up and late teens and 20s now but they now know it was for the best. Too many lazy parents these days just hand their kids a device to keep them quiet.

And Starmer must be still enjoying your crotchless nickers from your draw full of special Lacey ones<whistle>

and he can't be a racist as 3 Romanian rent boys will attest to despite the case being put back 3 years till the no jury law he wants comes in, hoping it will have blown over

Breaking, Russian escalation against the British state revealed. Russia set up a Right Wing group Direct Action and targetted Starmer... the Romanian was paid to firebomb Starmer house and didn't know who the target was.

Rog, looks like you've been hoodwinked into believing nonsense yet again?

If anyone is truly concerned that their child is at imminent risk of death, and doesn’t act, they should be locked up for child neglect.

G'kids and their dad live with us.
Atm they have phones and access to tablets and laptops, for homework.
They are not supposed to use tech in their rooms, so we can see what or who they are connected to.
I can cut off Internet access to their tech using the eero app in my phone...so no need to shout at them...they see me opening up my phone to 'pause' their WiFi and usually they are as good as gold.

I am all for banning kids from the various 'social' media... life will be better, for them and us.
