But, but the Mags said we’d never play in Europe …

… now they’re saying it’ll affect our PL campaign and our chances in the derby matches.

This will be hurting them as much as their star players scrambling to leave SJP before it falls down.
When we beat Chelsea and qualified for the Europa, that’s the nearest I’ve felt to winning the PL or a cup.

Those last two wins, man, to get over the line. The team treated them like cup finals and left everything on the pitch.

Chelsea had the chance to qualify for Europe but they couldn’t live with us on the day …

… you could see them disintegrate, wonderful to see.

It was brilliant to see wasnt it.

Chelsea looked like a team defeated even at 0-0. Gone are the days of "typical Sunderland" and bollix it up at the final hurdle, this team just never gives up. Chelsea just couldnt cope with us on the day, and the 2-1 scoreline absolutely flattered them.

I absolutely loved everything about this day, as Lou Reed would say....Just a Perfect Day.

The smile on @kirkyboy's face when he came into the fans museum after the game will live with me forever.

Just brilliant.

Yep. Agree wholeheartedly with this. I loved the Wembley wins. Absolutely. But that game meant far more!
