Having come into this weekend thinking the Merc run of victories might well be broken, that was about as dominant as we’ve seen them look. Given the range of tracks we’ve had so far, it’s possible they could win every race this season.

Whilst he’s not matching his teammate currently, it’s hard to be too critical of Russell’s performance on Sunday, he was executing a strong recovery drive that likely would have seen him finish 3rd, he made the pitlane mistake that many others did and then a team error & and the late bunching of the field acted as a significant multiplier on the cost of that original mistake. His problem is that Kimi’s currently executing flawlessly.

That was chaos. Will normality return for Barcelona?
Nobody could have predicted the season thus far.
How might it have played out if Verstappen had been in there, we will never know.
Is Kimi brilliant or has George lost his focus? I am thinking Kimi has rattled George which has impacted George and his focus. I don't like George but in the same car George should be doing better than this.
Even Charles is a bit rattled by Lewis. Charles has never had a challenging team mate although I do think Sainz was beginning to challenge before Lewis replaced him. Many were doubting Lewis last year.

There are some good races coming up, let's hope we are entertained. We need to see someone other than Kimi on pole but I am loving that he is showing the others that they not as good as they thought they were.

Not sure that people would consider Vettel not to be challenging...

My recollection was Charles challenged Vettel. It was Charles in his early days.

Well yes, Charles comprehensively beat Vettel, but that’s because Charles is very good, not because Vettel isn’t a challenging team mate. I guess you mean that Charles has never been effectively put under much pressure by a team mate so far? Rather than the implication that he hasn’t had a good team mate? He’s had those before, he’s just seen them off.

Farcical stuff. Gasly reinstated to 3rd.

Effectively an admission that all of the pit lane speeding penalties were wrong.

Those who actually served them in the race get screwed, including taking a possible title contender out of the points

Between this, the news that the FIA are going to look again at the ADUO conclusions and having to water down the 2027 PU changes, it’s not been a good week for the FIA.
