Could we have two separate threads?
One for potential recruits and people we might sell and one for the adding up Police?

I know it’s linked, and I probably should be more interested, but I come here to see what the player rumours are, not to study for an accountancy degree!

Come July 1st it'll be sorted anyway, then it's just a case of how ****e and slow the recruitment is, as ever. :emoticon-0138-think

It's our time.

When they're on free's the wages become palatable dont they. Lets say he was on 150k a week. He's only 26. 3 year contract costs you 22.5 million. If you wanted to sign him, what would you have to pay, and what would his wages be on top..?

Aaaah just seen from m88 he was on 350k a week..... derrrrrrr..

You’re misinterpreting the point. There is nothing to suggest Koumas himself thinks striker is his favoured position. You might think he’d be better as a striker (so do I) but there’s no record of Koumas saying that himself.

It still doesn’t change my argument that he’s not very good even as a Championship player, let alone a Premier League one.

Even Dowell scored a goal.
You may well be correct, but systems, style, team mates, et al, are massive inponderables. We have a great deal to consider when throwing the dice for this season - and, yes, there is an enormous gamble, regardless of due diligence.
Koumas would be in my dressing room on the right terms.

That Shea Charles was outstanding for N Ireland last night... a great investment at 15-20 million...(Southampton want more) one year left on contract..

Kalvin Phillips was good enough for Man City to spunk millions on him a few years back, is only 30 and has played for England. For sensible numbers he's a no brainer for me
Dunno - had an absolute shocker on loan at West ham, got worse at Ipswich and then was terrible for Sheffield in the championship.. apparently done with soccer now. No point trying to catch a falling piano.

Kasey Palmer, 8 goals and 1 assist from attacking midfield in League One. Luton want him back, Huddersfield also linked…wouldn’t surprise me if Sheffield Wednesday or Leicester might fancy him too. Might be a mini bidding war there to get things started.

Derby wanted Drameh and I think there’d be similar levels of interest in him across the Championship. Get consistency out of him and he’ll be worth a lot more than £2 million, someone will take a punt.

Pandur can go for me. If we get better distribution from GK we’ll be far more effective in the Premier League. I’d push the boat out for Pierce Charles at Sheff Wed. Great with his feet, and at 20 we could eventually make a tidy profit on him.
