We could have put a bonus in the loan deal, the same with any loan player, we can offer incentives and even extra wages on top of the contract they have with their parent club
I thought you just paid a percentage of their normal wage, as they're still paid direct by their parent club, we send the money to Liverpool monthly in this instance. Especially under an embargo I didn't think we could offer incentives as that could constitute a loan fee.

Here are the transfer rumours I’ve seen since the play-off final:

Konstantinos Tzolakis (GK) - Olympiacos
Taylor Harwood-Bellis (CB) - Southampton
Anto Sekongo (CM) - USL Dunkerque
Yassine Titraoui (CM) - Sporting Charleroi
Álvaro Rodríguez (ST) - Elche

At least they actually seem like sensible suggestions from clubs who might realistically sell to us...

It all depends on the structure of the deal, some are just a %. Some are the full wage including contracted bonuses and some can include extras on top to entice the player. Re bonus / incentives and our embargo, I don't think it would constitute a loan fee as is part of the playing contract which is separate from any loan fee. I'm guessing the FA would have had to have oversight on it as they have with the players we signed on a free and those contracts will have different kinds of bonuses in and they were "ok'd"

I'm not saying he does have or doesn't have. Only that's it's possible we've added something on top of his Liverpool contract

Kind of agree. We seemed to lose something when he, McNair and Collyer came into the team post-Christmas. Still difficult to beat but lost a few gears going forwards. Should have stuck with Joseph when not injured. Yu was a good addition.

I think its telling that Koumas got very little game time towards the end of the season.

Don't agree about McNair, thought he was very solid whenever he played.

Interesting goings on, the managerial roundabout is full spin....

PALACE
BOURNEMOUTH
FULHAM
CITEH
CHELSEA
LIVERPOOL

all with new or looking for new managers. Pleased to see that Lampard and McKenna are being 'courted' for jobs. With the extra teams going into Europe this season, and this uncertainty of how the season will pan out with new managers for some, players wanting away etc, we have a belting chance.

7 in 37 and showing as a value on €5m on Transfermarket?
(’ve no idea how accurate that is though, and I do realise his 7 goals have come against a very good standard, but even so it seems a bit of a stretch value wise? ( Elche scored 49 btw)
He is tall though

If we were to bring Koumas back, it would have to be to play as a striker, he's not a wingers arsehole,,,

Was gonna say this. Touch and his brain aren’t good enough. He needs loaning out and needs to play off the shoulder of the centre halves, might do him more good at a decent side in League 1 as a out and out striker.

Iraola verbally agreed to join Liverpool.. I wonder if Senesa will think twice about ping Tottenham now. He's outstanding a Liverpool need to replace Konate... also what other B'mouth players will he raid..

Not with the transfer restrictions we were under we couldn’t do any of that. I don’t know about existing bonuses in their contracts with parent clubs but we couldn’t offer any extra above what they’re already on.

I thought we underused McNair, but given the outcome that’s a pretty empty criticism.

Koumas? He has an obvious eye for goal but he’s not currently good enough to make regular Premier League appearances.

Collyer? If he could get and stay fit he could be a good addition. Big If though.
