One player I really hope we keep next season is THB. His leadership in the 2nd half of the season was immense and we need his ****housery. Sadly I think he'll leave but until he does I'll be hoping he leads us into next season. If he does stay he should replace Jack as captain.

It's not a 'misunderstanding' though is it? The idea that he's spent 2 years working in this country and didn't know isn't believable in the slightest.

For sure, but if the owner is saying that he believes him then maybe something in it? None of us will ever know that for certain, but yeah it’s dead suss

Good that know that rank incompetence is acceptable at a multi million pound business.

Haha you seen the types of people that have been in charge of western politics for decades? <laugh>

Also… Jeffrey Epstein…

Sorry to highlight but millionaires / billionaires are the most incompetent people on the planet

And Solak is the owner, by that logic, it is mainly his fault.

To clarify, I said Parsons didn't cause this. As in, the actual problem here is the spying, which Parsons had nothing to do with.

Yes, the senior leadership responded very badly, which includes both Parsons and Solak. But if you are calling for heads to roll for the poor response, you should also want Tonda and those that actually comitted the offence to go to.

Sacking Parsons but letting the rest of them off the hook makes no sense.
Parsons is responsible for day to day operations, Solak isn't. And let's face it Solak is hardly mr popular with fans is he?

The fact is Parsons has proven he is hugely out of his depth and incompetent at this level. Continuing with him at the helm is a madness that wouldn't happen anywhere else.

I think Tonda should go as imo he'll get a ban and out preparations while waiting for that decision are all a bit up in the air.

I've consistently said though that I'm more annoyed by the amateur nature of the action/defence rather than the act itself so it's more than logical that I think Parsons is the person who must go more than anyone.

Fair point on politicians <laugh>

Re Epstein I'm not sure I'd call him incompetent. Huge ****ing scumbag sure but not incompetent.

In fairness the current set up actually looks to be delivering on the pitch, which is ultimately the only real measure of success we care about.

I'm sure fans would want Solak to give us the best chance at promotion next season, which I think most agree is keeping Tonda & Spors.

As for Parsons, he didn't cause this mess and people are calling for his head as they want someone to blame.
Parsons may not have caused the spying, but he's sure as **** culpable for what happened next.

-his interaction with Saint Gibbo at the Riverside
-his naivety in assuming it would be a fine
-not seeking the very best in legal advice/representation immediately
-not challenging not one, but 2 people on that board having links with Boro
-not getting ahead on media strategy

Basically all the things he should be doing as a CEO.

True, but he is responsible for the god damn awful defence by the club and for shooting his mouth off at Boro.
Yeah, he, along with seemingly everyone involved from Saints, has handled this badly.

Whilst it does suggest he was extremely naive going into this, I don't think his actions at Boro actually had any bearing on the outcome. Gibson would have pressed just as hard as he knew it gave boro a 2nd chance at promotion.

I think you either take the approach that the culture within the club is rotten and you do a full clear out. Or accept that many mistakes were made, but that those in place did actually get very close to promotion and represent our best chance of promotion this season.

Thankfully we are going with the latter.

One thing we can agree on.

THB for me, is the most important person at the club right now.

Yeah we can never know for certain but we'll all have our own opinions.

As I said before if this was his first job in England it'd maybe be more believable knowing how amateur our club is run, but he'd already spent a season and a half at Barnsley so overall has 2 years working at a senior level here.

The idea that neither club, or any individual at those clubs, told him over that timeframe is for the birds imo.

The massive irony here is that, all this ****storm aside, they (finally) seemed to have got it right with football appointments and that’s why I think they’re backing Tonda et al. I do agree with those that are call for Parsons head though. I believe (like others) that this may not have been as bad if he hadn’t shot his mouth off to Gibson.

Not surprising on Social Media, is the number of people with their own agendas who want to keep kicking us when we are down, it's going to take a long time to get over this, and most of it is out of our own hands, still waiting for the FA to have their say and I am pessimistic about the final outcome.
