Tbh **** em all. I’m honestly at that point now. It’s not even a rule in 95% of football around the globe…
This from the Beeb article:-
Speaking from Slovenia, Solak added: "In Italy or in Germany, where Tonda was working, this is basically common practice that nobody cares about."
Sentiments echoed by the footy community over here in no uncertain terms.

FA be mental to ban him! If they do it’s gonna put them in a real difficult position where they’ll have to start intervening & banning managers for all sorts of crap.

I mean also, what are they actually banning him for? A misunderstanding of footballing culture in the 2nd tier? Ok, so he can still manage in the Prem where it’s absolutely fine to do what he’s done? Is it a ban for asking his supervisor to ask a junior analyst to.. err do some analysis? Lol

Blown sooooo out of proportion!

If I’m on a job & my boss asks my supervisor to direct me to do something “no excuses”, I’d just ****ing do it. I’m sure the FA are the first to bark orders down a chain of command! This whole thing becoming so stupid now & it was already mental lol

It's not a 'misunderstanding' though is it? The idea that he's spent 2 years working in this country and didn't know isn't believable in the slightest.

Personally, I couldnt give a ****. Regardless of what its like elsewhere, it is a rule here, and Tonda should have known that. Thats down to him, and down to the club.

Its a lame ass excuse that doesnt wash with me.

This is a completely irrelevant point. Bad enough when fans make it let alone the owner.

We have the strange anomaly where the use of the Mark One eyeball and drones is spying at its worst, whereas use of electronic methods of information seeking/intelligence gathering, AI etc. is unlimited, uncontrolled, universally used to gain an advantage over the opposition and is a perfectly acceptable method to spy on anyone by anyone.

Good, at least we know where the club stand with this. If the spying happened in just those three games we've admitted to then we'd be mad to sack Tonda; he got the best out of so many players last season. It's also highly unlikely that whoever we appoint next will be a better manager. Now all we need is for the FA to not get involved and then Tonda can rebuild his relationship with the players.

That's about right though, you wouldn't expect the owner based in a different country to know about this.
I disagree. He’s chairman of the club, and hes on the board of the club. I don't expect him to know the precise details of what went on at the time at that time, but as owner and chairman, he shouldn’t be finding out through Twitter.

You dont think someone inside the club shouldve briefed him beforehand? It wasnt exactly news inside the club that we'd been caught spying, and **** was about to his the fan, was it?

Sorry thought you meant he should have been made aware of the spying itself.

Yeah he definitely should have been informed as soon as it was known we'd been caught. Though I suspect that was the media rather than the EFL too.
