I've specifically watched Amad, over the last month, and have to say I'm not convinced he's right for us now.

He's seriously talented but his decisions, in the final third and penalty area, don't seem decisive for someone who's had plenty of game time. He'd be a very expensive mistake to make and we'd be expecting him to start most games.

I have the feeling we could buy someone as good, from abroad, for much less money.

Great player when he is given free rein, which RLB isn't giving to anybody.

Decision in final third are often dictated through the manager

Look at saka, it’s as if arteta is remote controlling him

I think rlb is more tactically orientated than carrick, you’d see a different player here

You could be right. I'm sure that if we are to maintain our progress, next season we are going to have to be more threatening in the final third and score more goals.

It's the very high fee and expectations that put me off bringing Amad back. Getting Borini vibes who wasn't as effective in his second stint.

Amad was tremendous when linking up with Roberts and given freedom by Mowbray. It's far from a given that he would fit seamlessly with RLB's style of play imo.

Sunderland will listen to offers of at least £8m for goalkeeper Anthony Patterson this summer.

The shot-stopper is available after falling behind Robin Roefs & Melker Ellborg in the #SAFC ranks.

♂️ Wolves, Wrexham & Millwall are amongst the Championship clubs keen.

Rangers have explored a move too but the £8m price is prohibitive.

Let’s fleece Wrexham for some of that Disney money, they love overspending on players.

8m on Broadhead and 6m on Callum Doyle. Patterson must be worth 10 at those rates.

Yeah, Wrexham is a good shout. They'll be knocking on the door for promotion in the next few years so a nice add-on to the transfer fee there?

Wolves should have canny deep pockets too.

The article I read was that they were going to cancel his contract by mutual consent, probably after the Spygate debacle. So, he could go for free.

I'm expecting a few Southampton players to jump ship in the summer in similar circumstances. I bet they're really pissed off with the club management. I think he could be a rotation option with ELF, in the same way that this Geoffrey fella is for Xhaka.

Imagine Amad linking up with ELF. Mouthwatering!
