Why would they more expensive ? The prices are set aren't they ?

We'll be paying £50 a month next season
Why not make them more expensive for people who will only be going as long as we are in the PL and more interested in sitting there watching the big names in the other teams than supporting City?
£50 a month equals £31 a game. There will be a lot of fans of other PL clubs wishing they only had to pay that.

I am not sure if it’s true but I can imagine that leaving some for day trippers would be good practice, if not a rule.
Money wise it is. You can charge more for match day tickets and day trippers will be spending more on merchandise and be replaced by someone else doings the same the next game than a passholdee who will buy merchandise once.
Aston Villa have reduced their season tickets by 3,000 to bring in more day trippers.

Yeah, maybe there could be a tick box when applying .....are you a glory hunter or a proper City fan :emoticon-0112-wonde
I do agree with the sentiment though, but there could be a number of true City fans disadvantaged by such a move. Maybe if you dont have an existing purchase history or something?

Somebody mentioned that to me last week(leaving tickets for day trippers),is that true?

If so,by the time you allow for away support and on the day match tickets, there's probably in the region of 3-4 thousand season tickets up for grabs which I'd imagine will go very quickly and would be more expensive than what's currently being paid by existing members(which is fair enough to be honest).
In the case of man city and man utd they're always snapped up by asian tourists. Both stadiums full of them these days having selfies during the game on the steps having arrived to their seats late with carrier bags full of merch.

I hope we can do all we can to make the MKM very unattractive to newbies this season ha ha

Passes bought now should be £100 a month and and if you keep it for 3 seasons you get the difference back as long as you've attended 90% of the games. That will stop the one season wonders!!

Personally,I think those who are currently season ticket holders(members) should reap the benefits of their loyalty in supporting the Club in the Championship and indeed League 1 when we dropped that year?

Anyone considering buying a membership now will need to be prepared to pay the going rate for supporting the Club in the top flight? It doesn't affect me in the slightest but I believe in loyalty being rewarded.

Of course, when passes do go on sale then maybe they should consider those with a purchase history first?

Thing is Jim do we want City to grow. Would Ajun be thinking about a bigger stadium in his ambitious way. If so we need new fans and they are out there.
For me its the wrong kind of growth. We don't want one season wonders, there to see Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool. We want families that are going to groom their kids into the die hards of the future. Preferably not the types to let their kids run on the pitch or bring those bits of cardboard begging for shirts!!

If we go down in a years time we are back to 16,000 members.

Its not easy but we can use this opportunity to build properly for the future by hooking families and young people in whilst there is something want to see. As opposed to 2 Chinese Arsenal fans who will just come to see the opposition.

I was being tongue in cheek with the figures on the pass but giving an incentive for people to stick in future seasons is a must.

Yep. How?

Aston Villa have a much bigger ground than us and probably have more than 3,000 unsold seats every game. We are losing 50 seats in West Upper next season to accommodate more press and media places. Are there any plans to squeeze extra seats into the stadium to compensate this loss and meet the extra demand? I'm sure Adam Pearson said we could squeeze more seats in 'if we wanted too' If so then surely this is the time?
Agree with a PL premium being placed on new memberships for next season too. Big problem last time was people, and companies buying whole rows of seats at a reduced rate, childrens or students prices and not using them for the run of the mill games but upgrading to adults for the more glamourous matches. This was one of the reasons that all concessions where withdrawn.

Villa don’t have more than 3,000 unsold seats every game. Which is why they have reduced season passes to sell more on the day bringing more revenue in.
Next step for popular clubs is membership fees giving you a chance of buying a ticket in a lottery. Bayern Munich have 400,000 paying around 50€ per year. Nice earner. Some clubs have brought them here at a bit lower cost. Only works where demand exceeds supply of course.

All for the above and it’s how I see it. Was really Heartening to see loads of you kids with there families at Wembley. To keep their interest we have to get them in first. It’s a great opportunity. Yeah the plastics piss me off big time. Hopefully extra passes go to points holders first. Feeling they will. Great feeling around the club and hopefully Ajun grabs it and takes it forward.

Doesn't make sense though? If Villa haven't got 3,000 unsold ( empty, same thing) seats every game why are they reducing season passes 'to sell more on the day'?
Do you mean there are less season passes to buy so you have to pay on the day?

Sounds like much of a muchness? Surely it's better to pull in regular income from season ticket holders than reach out to an inconsistent market who'll turn up for the Man City's,Liverpool's and Arsenals but might not fancy Coventry,Ipswich or Hull City?

Sounds like a flawed business model to me?
