I don’t think we will sign him tbh. We can only spend 70% of our revenue and need around 5-6 players. I don’t see us spending £18m on a third choice RB (I do like him a lot) I just think we may lean towards a couple young project type defenders and use the funds for the attack and midfield
I get your point, but hes first choice for me

I think if we sign Gerty, bring in a left back, then we can look for a centre back to replace Seelt, or use Seelt. I would be okay with that! But it depends on Seelt and Ballard fitness.

Nordi is unreal at CB but I also think he’s just as vital at RB. For all I get the Hume vs Geertruida debate too. I think the financials are a big thing here. Is there really THAT much between Hume and Geertruida. And with Nordi being our first choice RB when Ballard is fit. I just think financially it may not make sense to sign Geertruida.

I also don’t think he’d sign himself unless he knew he’d start.

Got to disagree there Cam. If we can negotiate a little bit lower fee I think Geertruida is well worth bringing in. The lad can really play and would help provide some continuity for next season. He is a really good character as well.

3rd choice RB is harsh as he's looked just as good as Hume and Mukiele. Mukiele can also get minutes as a CB and Hume at RM so there's room.
I wouldn’t mind signing him. I just think with Nordi being the starting right back when Ballard is fit and us already having Hume and having spent time developing him. It won’t leave much room for him

I also have a feeling Geertruida himself wants to play and start. I think Regis mentioned there was frustrations

PUSKAS SPECIAL | Başakşehir is interested in Granit Xhaka.

It has been learned that the Swiss star is also warmly inclined toward living in Istanbul and continuing his career in Turkey.

What a crock of ****.

Granit is here for the long term project and he’s been very open about that.

I’m more worried about me sawing off my own foot than I am about us losing Granit this summer.

For clarity, I’m incredibly fond of having 2 feet, and have never considered sawing one off a fun and valuable option.

I think we will go back in for Jhon Lucumi lcb and bring a left back in to understudy roneildo. A cdm to allow xhaka to rest now and again and possibly Big money on the right winger and striker

There’s people out there who will do it for you @Nads
Although he will be indisposed for a few years and not available for calls.
Also his surgical knowledge and precision may not be top drawer.

Given our recent recruitment history,I'm certain quality will be added. As well as quality,we have to also ensure the dressing room togetherness is maintained...the character and disposition of any additions is as important as quality,if not more so.
The hardest thing for a competent and savvy owner is getting the balance between the quality of the recruits and keeping the wage bill manageable.I dont think we have any room for too many mistakes in the market especially when were fishing in the high value pond .Over to you Gisolfi please find quality players at the right price ,with a great character that will improve the squad !

Sounds easy but we all know it isn't don't we?Im sure granite might just have some input in this and to be honest i hope our recruitment is stellar as its going to need to be.

Next season is going to be a challenge and it might well define our prospects for years to come .SAFC has had a recent history of missing opportunities but the clowns have gone and our owners are savvy and always looking to improve and i think we will all be be impressed with the makeup of our squad that plays in the USA in the summer!

Milan Aleksić is joining Partizan from Sunderland on a one-year loan

It was tried last summer as well, but a negative response came from the players. This time, it looks like there will be no obstacles. Milan Aleksić will almost certainly be the first reinforcement of Partizan in the summer transfer window, Mozzart Sport learns . The young midfielder comes from Sunderland on a one-year loan, and the only doubt is the modality of cooperation, regarding the purchase of the contract next summer. That should be known very soon, in a few days.
