Fully deserved. Not only are they the worst losers in the world, they are also the worst winners. :emoticon-0102-bigsm
After the Chelsea game I had 30minutes before my train out of Newcastle.

I made a point of walking into the Centurion for a pint and it all went a bit quiet, the barman didn't even look me in the eye when he served me. I'd have hoped one of the decent Mags would've come over, shook my hand and said summat but there was nothing ...

... I stood there, like the invisible man, drank half my pint and strolled out onto the platform holding my glass.

I'll enjoy being there next season and looking for any signs of humility instead of their usual arrogance.

Well they do say that the fog on the Tyne is all theirs apparently. They can keep it as far as I’m concerned. I’d rather have the sun on the Wear.
Great band Lindisfarne, some great songs but sadly they're known for this.

Good chorus but the lyrics are absolute ****e ...

... everyone knows the chorus, no one knows the verses, not even the band.

I'm pretty certain that I read/heard that it was just a "joke" song, one put together for a laugh and not took seriously but somehow it ended up being a major hit.

Personally I can't stand it and when you compare it to "Meet me on the corner" or "Lady Eleanor" it's just ****. The lyrics aren't much better than "agadoo".

First proper gig I went to. It was their annual NCH Christmas concert in 1981. Don’t remember much about it now tbh other than I was 14.
First time I saw them was 1972 with Genesis as their support, Peter Gabriel wearing a foxes head for the release of ‘Foxtrot’. Now that was a good night out at NCH
.

Thought it was jarra Elvis that wrote it, mate.
Im not sure as i cannot stand Elvis (WMS exception)but i don't think he wrote any of his song!Might of got a writing credit but didnt actually write any by himself !but knowing that crook Parker im sure he got Elvis on the writing credits for the royalties.

Could Newcastle be facing a perfect storm next season?

Eddie staying when he couldn't get a tune out of this squad, they've already lost Gordon, Trippier ,Tonali? and possibly more, struggled to get enough goals out of their new forwards and have a defence which leaked goals in numbers all season.

Then there's the issue of the stadium and training facilities which isn't going to improve anytime soon.

A manager whose under extreme pressure already, two months before the season resumes with a history of blowing vast sums of money on bang average signings it just seems to me the owners are showing a lack of interest in this project.

If they don't get off to a strong start then the storm clouds over SJP could burst....watch this space.

Good isn't it.

Howe is a decent enough manager but ‘the richest club in the world’ should surely be employing the likes of Guardiola …

… their lack of ambition, for Newcastle, is seriously embarrassing the Mags.

They’re not daft enough to think everything is going to plan.
