Don’t think we should go for any players that want a relegation release clause if they take us down they should stay and help the club back up.Arthur Avom Ebong is a great shout, to be honest. He’s similar to Matazo.

Relegation clauses work both ways. Usually there's a significant reduction in salary upon relegation, and in return they get a release clause, don't they? That's how I thought it worked.Don’t think we should go for any players that want a relegation release clause if they take us down then stay and help the club back up.
What difference does it make if we get relegated and they get reduction in wage, they got a release clause so they be hopping it and it won’t effect them.Relegation clauses work both ways. That’s a very naive view of modern football.Don’t think we should go for any players that want a relegation release clause if they take us down they should stay and help the club back up.
Nothing naive at all about it.That’s a very naive view of modern football.
It’s incredibly naive to expect young, foreign players and their agents to sign for a newly-promoted Premier League club and not be thinking about their future careers. A release clause in the event of relegation will be higher than the fee we pay for them anyway so it still protects the club’s investment. These players would also have relegation clauses in their contracts to reduce their salaries so it works both ways.Nothing naive at all about it.
Who’s giving him it??I've heard he pockets the entire £210 million premier league bonus and another £50 million in interest, plus a handjob.
Give him an Elsa mask and Pete will do it.Who’s giving him it??
I’m not saying I would pay to watch that but I’m not saying I wouldn’tGive him an Elsa mask and Pete will do it.
Only a hand job?I've heard he pockets the entire £210 million premier league bonus and another £50 million in interest, plus a handjob.
Didn't they try and sell us to that lot that ****ed Reading over?Ye fair enough
We won't know what the figure is until several years accounting is released and even then, if a Turkish deal is anything to go by, his return will be split over several decades/lifetimes.
For what it is worth, I don't have a problem with Ehab doing well from the deal. The leagues are full of clubs with dogshit new owners who have come in and promised the world - Blackburn, reading, Leicester and it's ended in mediocrity or worse. Ehab sold to an owner who took a massive gamble and it paid off within 4 years, so good that Ehab chose acun to sell to, credit to him and hope he enjoys his financial return.
Høgh scored a brace this evening.I wonder if Kasper Hogh is on the list. Striker with FC Glimt who did so well in Champions League. Norwich bid £7 million for him in January Celitc wanted him too but then they went on the great run and he stayed. under contract until 2029. Another striker at the club though only 17 Mikkel Bro Hansen is on Newcastles radar.
Sort of sounds a lot like Sergei.... players down on confidence, now become 10 times better... maybe Hogh would be good fit then..Høgh scored a brace this evening.
Tbh, really hard to judge bødo players as individual signings. It's all about Kjetil Knutsen, turned average players into world class e.g. when they played Roma a couple of seasons ago and turns around the career of fading young players who've hit difficulties at bigger clubs. Players massively up their game when playing under him. He was given a free hand and total trust to create a football squad and so how players will perform when away from him is a bit of an unknown. Sort of like a more successful Graham Potter. He'd have had the piss taken out of him for being a primary school teacher in the UK and not got the respect from the players or media.
Maybe Rosenior needs to go to one of the big Scandinavian clubs and try to overachieve in European competitions with them to get his career back on track.Høgh scored a brace this evening.

I can see him going back to Ligue 1 - one of the smaller teams with lower expectations - Nice if not relegated or Auxerre eventually. He needs to improve his french though.Maybe Rosenior needs to go to one of the big Scandinavian clubs and try to overachieve in European competitions with them to get his career back on track.
24 games with 2gls 3 assists in Turkish league. Isn’t too bad but not great. What about Guldoghan? isnt he coming free this summer.
he could be Hull’s Xhaka
Belgian successes don't seem to do too well in the pl.We were linked with Matija Frigan last summer and he previously played under Jakirović at Rijeka between 2022 and 2023. When Rijeka sold Frigan to Westerlo in July 2023, they had already signed his replacement in Franjo Ivanović a few weeks before.
Ivanović only played under Jakirović for a few games as Jakirović left Rijeka for Dinamo Zagreb in August 2023 but it’s relevant because you’d imagine Jakirović had some input in bringing Ivanović to Rijeka in the first place. Ivanović was later sold to Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in August 2024 and he scored 23 goals and got 6 assists in 49 appearances in all competitions in the 24/25 season. This earned him a £20 million move to Benfica last summer and he scored 7 goals and got 1 assist in 38 appearances in all competitions this season.
Apparently, Benfica are willing to let Ivanović leave this summer, either on loan or for a similar fee they paid for him last summer. A loan with an obligation to buy if we stay up might be doable for us. He’s a good finisher, quick and athletic but he just didn’t seem to hit the ground running in Portugal the same way he did in Belgium. He was also second fiddle to Pavlidis for most of this season. I think that would be a good signing for City if we could pull it off.
