The boss came back to me quite quickly today, but I've been watching the footie and he was travelling - he'll try and have a look into it tomorrow he said. I should say the server is not in the UK, and I'm not quite sure the boss' whereabouts in Europe (I don't pry) but I know he can deal with some stuff remotely. Keep in mind he'll be working as well, but this is his little baby so he'll certainly fix whatever needs to be fixed, IF he can find the problem.

I did have a look on the Xeneforo site for answers, and there were topics around what's been discussed more or less that you guys have raised, but all the answers on that forum I could only say seemed non conclusive and going round in circles - which is what I try and avoid, hence why I might seem a bit abrupt sometimes, just my measure of getting an angle on how deep is the problem.

I know some weeks before the crash, we were getting attacked by bots, thousands of the buggers, so he had to up cloudflare protection, the one where you tick a box to say you are human, but we sort of had to back track on that measure a bit because it was causing people issues, so it's a fine balance to keeping the site from attack, and enabling members to go about their online use without hassle.

Once I know more I'll let you all know, but again no promises on timescales.

If you need any spies for that, I know a guy…

Yeah been chatting about that to Libby.

The whole thing is ridiculous, I use to think all teams use to spy on one another. If someone is that bothered about it, do training behind closed doors. Personally I'd set training up to give the opposition a false set of plans, then in private tell the lads to scrap everything I just told them and that we are going to do this way....only to find a spy hiding in the laundry bin lol.

An update guys because of the number of reported issues I've had...

Ok guys, the site owner has come back to me, the bits in brackets is me interjecting...

Do we know the errors they are getting (assume that means codes like 408) or can we get screenshots (I assume you guys are experiencing it just hanging)?

If it's at the ISP level it might be that we've been put in some adult blocking category (this had crossed my mind) or something else.

But I can't see issues from my side.

If it's Cloudflare it might be they see them as a threat or it being spam (the site has had to deal with spam last two days from Brazil)

I might be able to change sensitivity configs on Cloudflare to allow all UK traffic, maybe I try that now. (I know we had to up sensitivity at one point due to being under bot attack).

@brb the first message posted on page 1 is the message I get on the iphone.

It still happens every day, many times a day.

I also very occasionally like once per week get the same message on my iMac.

Exact same for me along with pages part loading but not rendering unless refreshed

Mine happens only on my iPhone and usually if I have moved about so maybe I will have roamed between Access Points or flipped to data from Wifi.

The Cloudflare sensitivity may have some mileage in it ( I imagine the site is using the Cloudflare WAF) and I have had issues with that when configuring cloudflare.

I have it on good authority the EFL are expelling Cloudfare sensitivity. What ever the hell that is.

Actually - is that why it rains?

@brb - when I get it (only since the last downtime issues) the html template slug it's loading is named "service-worker-offline" - might be able to reduce the number of places to look at unless it's a generic catch all error template.

That's the first thing I tried - no difference, still happening. Like others I have to refresh every time I use the site and 50% of the time I have to do it twice.

On my iPhone I've tried Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Happening on all of them. I have to say, its not the end of the world but it is irritating. Like others (and I) have said, it has only started happening since the site went down a couple of weeks ago.
How's it now and what network do you use?

For example I use Talktalk at home and giffgaff (O2) when out unless I can connect to wifi somewhere.

You mean the boss is in Moscow and the server is in China?

Or is it the other way around?
