Traore's a tricky one, he only managed to start 9 league games and was injured for what felt like at least half the season, I know he is close mates with Brobbey who struggled to settle in Leipzig saying he felt isolated there, there's no doubt in my mind that Traore was brought in not only as a stopgap winger but as some measure against Brobbey not settling. We do have a +1 year option on Traore so let's see what happens.

Shows how professional they were knocked up targets and stuck Ibrahimovic. Clearly just spent 20 mimutes naming players that were available and didn't think about if there was any chance which also meams they didn't think about if they were right for what we needed! Which was obvious on the field with the signing that were made!

Did I read somewhere that our DoF(?) acknowledged we need to up the size of our squad, to account for mid-week games especially those that involve travelling round Europe.
From OTR

"A mate of mine was at the senior supporters talk on Sunday before the match which was given by Ghisolfi. Someone asked how the club would cope if they got into Europe. Ghisolfi said they were well aware that they would be moving to Thurs/Sunday football and they would need a first team squad of 21. He said they currently had a first team ready group of 16 which I assume meant that the likes of Mayenda, Ta Bi, Jones were often in the squad but not considered first team ready (I get that the numbers may be questionable but that's what he said apparently). He said they had two plans, one for Europe and one for not achieving Europe. I know this is pretty obvious but it takes away some of the concerns. The club are very much on it. It may explain the talk of Mayenda. For all his potential it may be that they are looking to get decent value for him and replace him with someone who is closer to the finished article."

Not in the know or anything but France defender Ibrahima Konate is set to leave Liverpool for free when his contract expires in June. I must admit that I do not know enough about him but would he be a useful asset for our European campaign?

I like traore he done better than i thought he would but im not sure i would renew him. I would be looking to sign a starting rw and rlb has already said ta bi wont be going out on loan (suppose that could change)

I would hate to see him become the finished article with someone else instead of just being patient.

You can sell these days with a decent buyback clause, so it effectively pays the club who develops him on a loan type scenario.

The lad needs to be playing 25 games a year to develop at his age.
