Everyone who plays for them is seriously overhyped. Just look at their defence consisting of Hall, Botman, Thiaw, Burn and Livramento. Listening to the mags and their media, everyone of them is probably the best in the country, if not the world. Whenever I see the goals they concede, the defence looks as though they’re never played together. Then they honestly believed that Pope should have replaced Pickford years ago. Don’t know if it’s just me, but I can’t see what it is they see to justify their high praise of average to slightly above average talent.

To be fair they said multiple times last season how good their midfield was last season! Never saw evidence of it like, they couldn't even keep going for 90 minutes ffs!

Remember the comment from one who was sick of us going on about Xhaka and Sidiki and couldn't wait for Bruno, Linton and Tonali to say "hello boys" and give them a lesson!

They ****ing **** it and never once played all together against us due to "injuries" and the ones who were on the pitch got no where near our lads.

Serious question as I don't watch them enough but who gets in our team from them? Hall and Gordon (not sure he has the attitude?) Are only one I can think of considering. That world class midfield 3 doesn’t get in for Xhaka, Sidiki or Le Fee? None of their strikers or cb's replace ours either and keeper not a chance!

But they are objectively better than us according to that mag on that podcast the other day, even when presented with the evidence of derby results and league postions!

In future we must keep a record of what certain tosses say so we can p iss ourselves when we see how their forecasts go <laugh> <laugh>

They've always been like that since I was a kid. I remember before Italia 90 when some of them claimed Fat Micky Quinn was a better striker that Gary Lineker and should go to the world cup... Let's face it, they are extremely odd. (Put politely)

Then there will be some narrative about how they sell their best players to Barca and we sell ours to Millwall or some other made up ****.

They've always done this, its strange. The only one they were right about was Gascoigne but that's all I can think of.

They also played Blaydon Races sung by Jarrow born Sunderland fan Alan Price. Not sure if still the case. They will "claim" anybody as a Geordie if they are any good, Fatfield born Bobby Thompson and Langley Park born Bobby Robson for example.
