Higher, the gamble paid off and in the best possible way..... Although I can't confirm but it came from 2 agents and it wouldn't surprise meWhat is it, out of interest? Suggestions last summer were anywhere from £40-50k-a-week.

It wouldn't shock me if we paid a 6 figure wage next seasonthe kantes and edersons are 6 figure wages!
we have to i thinkIt wouldn't shock me if we paid a 6 figure wage next season
will and should are v different qns! esp where Acun is concernedCatching up on this thread.
Does anyone seriously think we will or should spunk fortunes on some of the names mentioned, like Modric, Lukaku, Bowen, Robertson, Vardy, R Henry, .... and "a sprinkling of players toward the end of their career with deep PL experience"? Surely not. It ain't gonna happen nor should it. It would be utter madness! They would cost a fortune in wages, with little to no future up side.
Dublin and Serg may look to pull in a Xhaka (Boateng 2008) equivalent out of the bag somehow, but they primarily have to come up with some gems, mostly from abroad, that don't cost a fortune, that have the potential, and the still missing power and pace.
I'm sure their list will be full of players that fit that sort of bill. There's a couple that Serg was keen but unable to bring in last season, who we most likely will see as early signings.
I hope to hell we're not spending on some of those names mentioned, and I'm pretty confident we won't. In Dublin and Serg we trust.

What about Martin Hodge, isn’t he ‘Head of Recruitment’ and Dublin ‘Director of Football’ or something similar?Catching up on this thread.

Thats ****ing ridiculous amounts£55k-a-week?
If you told me that last summer, I would’ve said he wasn’t worth it and the club were mad to pay him that given the circumstances around finances. It obviously paid off though.
How much do you reckon he’s on after promotion?
Essentially then he cost 2.5 million plus bonuses...Thats ****ing ridiculous amounts
I know it worked out in the end
But thats a ****ing ridiculous risk for us at the time
Still doesnt sit right with me
Sheff utd had no chance of getting him lmao

One single wrexham goalYeah…
But there wasn't and it isn'tOne single wrexham goal
And the club would have been ****ed
Well i dont think paying someone 50k+ a week in the champ is goodBut there wasn't and it isn't![]()
As far Turkish players go (and we will sign some), we’d be better off signing the ones already playing in European leagues outside of Turkey. Other than Yüksek, I’d be avoiding Süper Lig players. The ones playing in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium etc. tend to adjust to English football more readily compared to Süper Lig ones. A lot of them are diaspora Turks who were born and raised outside Turkey too.
For example, Berke Özer, Başar Önal, Ahmetcan Kaplan and Emin Bayram are the Turkish players we should be looking at.
Well I'd rather have promotion to the Premier League thanks in no small part to said player than be treading water as a lower mid Championship club at best, but whateverWell i dont think paying someone 50k+ a week in the champ is good
But you do you
Does it affect your life though?Well I'd rather have promotion to the Premier League thanks in no small part to said player than be treading water as a lower mid Championship club at best, but whatever![]()
Yes it does matter to me how high we're ranked in the football pyramid, or what's the ****ing point?Does it affect your life though?
Whoever city play
Does it matter
If youre not a player or owner
at least in the champ you can sorta feel close to the playersYes, or what's the ****ing point?

I'm far more interested in the sporting side than the club's and players' finances, but that's just meat least in the champ you can sorta feel close to the players
When players are getting 6 figures a week
Cba with that![]()
