First 90% of the article painting us as Neanderthals before grudgingly acknowledging we've improved. Feel for Roly though, as a kid didn't realise things were that bad and wondered what had happened to him.

Got to feel for the lad. It’s still bad now, but it must have been bloody hard in the 70s and 80s - no matter where you played.

Very glad to hear the club brought him back to visit.

If it's coincidental timing fair enough, just felt a bit "piss on their chips" otherwise.
Not impressed with any of this tbh ...

... much worse attitudes across the whole country than in Sunderland.

If things we're really so bad perhaps he should've gone elsewhere for less money.

Sorry but don't make out that Toxteth or Bradford were a multi-national paradise compared to Seaburn.

And as for experiences in Kenya, what?

Just listening to the WTF Sunderland podcast and they're talking about the players. Now this could be just me but has there ever been a time when you love all players that's played regularly during the season? There's been times when you have 1 favourite player, maybe 2 then the rest you think are "ok" or "decent", there was definitely times when there's been players you just can't stand but I seriously can't remember a time like this when each team member has been a favourite

Was out last night at a night with ......John Barnes he was very good.
The compare was a guy from Sky with links to the crass up the road ( can't remember his name) and when he asked how many of the audience were from Newcastle ( Barnes played for them at one point) he got no response....there was a group in from Watford tho.
He blamed the sacking of Slot on fan unrest...reckons the clubs who stick with they're managers longer term are the most successful which I thought was fairly obvious.
Any how it was a decent night and worth the effort.
