I’m not sure on the player himself but his profile is what we need imo. Not going to be many players out there with loads of European experience who are willing to play back up to Xhaka every week and step in when needed. Going to need a fair few bodies through the door to cope with the demand of playing 2/3 times a week. Our bench was absolutely honking at times last season, 4-5 u21s on there. We need a bench of players who we’d be happy with as starters. Can’t be left short again this upcoming season but I genuinely think we’re going to throw everything at it. We haven’t came this far in such a short space of time to half arse it.
Get some real quality additions in but a few sensible signings who can pack out the squad and make us have genuine rotation options.
