I think it already got mentioned that we need some pace and athleticism in the team when we referenced how well Sunderland did. Joseph, although technically not brilliant, is an athlete and should be kept just for that alone. Even throwing him on for the last 20 minutes he’d just be a pain to play against.

We need a new forward of a similar profile to Koumas but a better version.

Not sure it's an obsession or just seeing a free agent who has a big history at the club, and another who's just been relegated, as potential statement signings with a wealth of PL experience.
it's not just them, I've seen lots of people wanting us to try and get Tyler Morton, Harry Wilson and Fabio Carvalho back.

Though the latter may be worth a try.

If we are going for players with pace - Morton wasn't particularly quick (unless my memory fails me), Wilson -no chance. Depends what impact Carvalho's recent injury has had on him
Tom Cairney anyone? (If were talking former players)

Hasn't Wilson just had the best season so far? Im probably wrong but thought he was out of contract this summer after refusing a new contract which would make you think hes got a bigger club than Fulham lined up.

The only chance for Bowen is a loan then go back to West Ham when they come back up

Loan him and pay the lion's share of his wages? Could work...

Even morton would cost probably close to £20m, his wages wont be that high

Wilson would be great but no chance

I cant see bowen leaving west ham becasue i dont think a top club would want him for the fee
unless west ham are so in the **** they have to sell him

No chance we sign Tyler Morton. I know he was at Wembley but people read too much into that. If he is sold this summer, it will be to a bigger club than us and for £50-60 million at least.

The former player thing may be because it's a name people know and have seen what they can do in the Premier league. Safer than Pera Peric from the Croatian league.

Regarding Robertson why leave Liverpool to go to Spurs? In my view he either stays at Liverpool or goes off piste and outside the box could be us or somewhere in Scotland.

The latter being Carvalho? Isn't he out with an ACL? I would have thought Morton the most likely as he was actually at Wembley cheering us on.

He's leaving Liverpool.

Baz just said on the 1904 club he wouldn’t be surprised if we spent £80/90m

If we averaged £15m a player we'd only sign 6 new players, so I can absolutely see £80/90m being the case when you mix together some cheaper squad players and more expensive certified Premier League players.

If you sign a 15m player on a 3 year deal it's only actually costing us 5m next season.

Also, We need to use the loan market well

I haven't listened to the pod yet so, based on what you're saying, I wonder if Baz means £80/90m spread over three years (for example) or £80/90m per year for the next few years. Can't see it being the latter, surely?
