The beloved Emery is keen on signing Harvey Barnes. Makes you think doesn't it!
well Emery might play him on the left instead of putting him on the right so Golden Gordon gets to play left wing. Howe bent over for Gordon and got shafted and shafted Barnes at the same time. Great manager that Howe!

Yeah I’d imagine him and the lad of Coventry, Rudoni, are about the standard to expect incoming while Tonali, Livarmento and Hall could be the standard of departures past Gordon…

We're going to have an absolute train crash this summer

Little reminder that, as Anderson approaches a £100m move to a Manchester club, Howe couldn't find a place for him and spent £55m on Tonali. Then, when Tonali was suspended, Anderson got 26 games before we had to sell him for £35m. Because we'd spent on Tonali.

But, sure, let's give Howe another year. He deserves it.

In terms of rumours doing the rounds, Newcastle have zero interest in a striker because Howe is happy with Osula, Wissa and Nick (who he doesn't play up front anyway). Last I saw was we were actively after four players - sounds about right, given we always end up at least 2/3 shy of what we need. They are RB, GK, CM and LW. Otherwise known as a replacement for Trippier, Ramsdale, Tonali (or Bruno) and Gordon. So in spite of being weak, we're going to proactively get weaker. Oh, and Dan Burn is still going to play left back because - remember - he never lets us down in that position......

Man the heat is making me even more miserable.

We're going to have an absolute train crash next season and by the time the next manager comes in he's going to have a squad packed to the rafters with vanilla players

I hope we do end up with a load of vanilla players. My wife's got a wool shop so I'll get a deal and get us all a matching Madagascan hat and scarf knitted.

Wasn't Howe talking about wanting to keep Ramsdale because he's a nice guy?

Just for a few posters - allegedly we're only after 1 goalkeeper. That person is going to be young and be able to compete with someone else. That someone else being already at the club.

Oh, there was never a shred of doubt he'd be keeping one of Pope or Ramsdale around. Maybe both, two scenarios - we'll offload Pope to the likes of Hull and get a cut price on Ramsdale, as Saints need the money. Plus Eddie likes him 'cos he's a nice guy to have around. Then we'll call City about Trafford once again, balk at the asking price (taking about 6-8 weeks to do so) before going for someone like Michael Cooper. Or we'll keep Pope, still get a deal on Ramsdale and try and find a young lad who won't play a single minute next season. Then watch Eddie look puzzled as we concede consistently awful goals.

After last night's heavy rain, which sadly flattened some of the longer stem plants I'd meticulously positioned the day before, I've had an idea. Although they will come back after another couple of days sunshine, I thought I'd swap them for some of the plants in the porch. I'm working on a purple and white colour theme in the porch and the flower bed. As I've got a couple of lovely hydrangeas in each colour to put just in front of the porch pillars the colour theme from flower bed to porch should blend in seamlessly.

Lol, this ones interesting - Chelsea interested in Hall, Bruno, Tonali and Woltemade.... that'll work out, sell them to Chelsea at huge prices, then they all fail their and get loaned back to us next season with Chelsea still paying us for them:
