As well as everything else that's brilliant about this, I'm so pleased and proud for players like Coyle and Slater who can say they've done this now. They've been repeatedly hammered over the years, told they're not good enough, the line "if we're serious about getting promoted we need better than Coyle/Slater" has always been popular. But they've done it and no one can take it away. They are in that bracket now with Dawson and Ashbee, far exceeding what anyone thought possible for them, achieving multiple promotions and along the way seeing off many theoretically more talented players who were expected to take their places.

And this is what Hull City legends do; it's rarely the flair players that achieve greatness with us, it's usually these hardworking, doubter-defying types. It fits with what we are as a City. Always overlooked, downtrodden and underestimated, often proving people wrong.

Just got back.

To all of those who watched the game on tv.

This was a very tactical game. From my point of view there was far more going on than it might have appeared on the tv.

I think the re registration of Big Dave was a masterpiece. It must have thrown Boro into giddy fits.

How it all looked to me is that we played a simple game. Let them run around in the heat and we will just wear them down. Boro never quite looked relaxed. Just like when we beat Southampton and plenty of others.

At 75 minutes there was a change in pace from us and Boro from that point were done.

I think if someone were to ask Sergej what his plan was, he would have said exactly what we did.

For all of the studying that they did of us, they must have understood that we score most of our goals in the box.

I know nothing about football, I’m a bit of a ****er like that, but I enjoyed every minute of that game and after the first twenty, I felt that it was ours.

Slater and Coyle aren’t the same. Ones become excellent the other is a glaring weakness that should be first replaced by some 10m hotshot from France or something. Even Slater as good as he is struggles to control games at Champ level. Big upgrade needed next season in many areas for me.

Not sure on the Slater comment - him and Amir in the centre of midfield against Chelsea in the FA Cup more than held their own.

Talking of legends was lovely to see a few of them mingling at the Box Park, had me photo with Mikey Turner and the legend Ian Ashbee, made my day, proper fan boy at 63 !!!!
I had a blast in Boxpark.

My missus (gf) had a great time. A few of the teenage lads said how lovely it was to see us dancing together after the game. I was so happy.

The face paint job I had got a few good compliments too. I was challenged by my GF to get it!
A 69 year old fat bloke wearing a football shirt (now people might know why I hate piss take bullying of overweight blokes like me) dancing with his girlfriend on a sticky beer soaked dance floor, probably will end up on some ****s social media to take the piss, but what the ****.

Acun showed other football owners how to promote your club.

We will have a queue of investors lined up from Turkey, they saw just what exposure they can get globally from being associated with Hull City. Not on the pitch but the way that we all are as a group, owner, club, players and supporters. All as one.

Love it.
