Can we have a bit of a roll call as to who will be at the fans museum pre match. I know some of the regulars will be there but it will be nice to meet some of the other posters and put faces to usernames!!!!

Tried to upload a pic but unfortunately file too large to upload.
Anyway some of the reprobates in there will recognise me. Will probably try to hide but hey ho

Sounds good mate, I expect you'll be able to keep an eye on the other games as well.

I'm sure you know but there are sites called 'current premier league table' or whatever that change in real time.

I'm not going to be checking though, I enjoy seeing the mood in the stadium change as scores come in.

Incidentally it's a good point about the 'easy six points' for Newcastle ...

... if they had those they'd be in with a shot at the Champions League!

Yeah, Central Station could be interesting before and after the game with Sunderland, Mags and Chelsea passing through.

Walking through, afterwards, as the top NE club, two derby wins and a place in Europe would be quite something.

Enjoy yersel mate, mebbe's see you next season!
I'm going to try mate for next season.

Need two new knees and hoping the first one gets done in August.

Once the other gets done I'm hoping for a place on the bench....haven't spoke to RLB about it yet....lol.

Probably would need Uber to get up and down the pitch but thinking Xhaka and Brobbey would look after me.

What a season mate, what a season....after all the years of sh* t served up still can't believe it and won't believe Europe till we are on the pitch.

HTL!!!!!!

Off the top of me heed ...

... RTB, Faraway, Dave39, Gil, YellowBelly, Hetton, Washy, Gordon, Snaggey, Marcus, Becs, Malaga, Whitty, Team of Talent, Gelders Pie, Pure River Slut, Sheff, Vincemac, and friends of theirs who don't post. I have mates from Carlisle, Notts, Newcastle, etc, popping in.

A big mention to D-K who kindly donated a Chelsea ticket for one of our lot. Gordon gave away 3 tickets to posters on here and I chipped in a bit.

I'll post more as they come to me <cheers>

Was listening to the roar podcast today and they make a good point on there for people who are saying Europe is too soon or they dont want it.

It was, how can we turn our noses up at Europe when we were in league 1 4 years ago. And to the amount of games that'll be played, we still have a few who were with us in the championship where you play 2 games a week the majority of the season, including RLB and the coaching staff, as well as a lot of our players will have more experience in European competitions from pervious clubs, so it won't be something new to them.

If we don't get Europe it'll probably save some arguments in our house but if it happens, it happens

I know some of you don’t give any credence to superstitions - looking at you @Smug in Boots <laugh> <laugh> But on the way to my seat in the Prem. concourse I’ll be paying a visit to my old man’s brick on Panel 6 just like I did prior to the Everton home game in 2016 when we sent the mags down! The same scoreline on Sunday will be most welcome!!

Amazing turn out. Gutted won't be there to meet everyone. Hope it turns out to be a successful day.

Great thread as always RTB. Thank you for all of these amazing match threads. I look forward to them every week. While I’m thanking you I’d also like to thank all the contributors to this site. Living so far away in keeps me in touch with my real home. I’m on here most days because I can depend on getting the real club news, and the rumours of course ☺:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0103-cool: HTL

If Geertruida starts on Sunday it asks a few questions and answers a few more.

Have we left ourselves short or is it just a question of an unjust red card and an inconvenient injury?

Does RLB want Geertruida to stay or is he simply determined to win the game by whichever means he think's best?

Is Geertruida improving, enjoying his place more and will Xhaka pressurise him to stay at Sunderland.

I rarely dream about future Sunderland games but, for whatever reason, I keep having daytime flashes of Geertruida scoring the winning goal on Sunday. It dawned on me that, in the playoff final, the winning goal was scored by a player who'd not always played and subsequently left.

If Geertruida scores the 'European' goal, then leaves the club, he'd cement his place in our history ...

... but, having said all that, I believe the club will push him to stay and I, for one, would love to see that happen.

I so hope he stays. Versatile, left footed. A run of games would show his true potential. He has been bloody good whenever he has played
