I’m not really bothered by the WC for a few reasons
1. It’s partly in the states who aren’t in my favourite country list due to Trump.
2. The ticket prices are extortionate
3. There are too many teams in it now.
4. How can you do it sensibly across 3 very large countries
5. Late night games will either affect my beauty sleep or my liver. Quite possibly both
6. The worse one will be Trump holding on to the trophy like it’s his and proclaiming that it’s the biggliest and best ever World Cup and is now called the Trump World Cup.

Yeah, it would be slightly tarnished, should a miracle happen and England win.

Peretz will just be the tip of the iceberg. I can imagine with the spectre of financial lawsuits and compensation looming SR will look to sell everything they possibly can to cover their asses. They have been without a shadow of doubt the worst thing to ever happen to Southampton FC, when we thought we were riding the beautiful Tonda wave even that turns out to be a deception and we are sent crashing down to earth again. Unfortunately I can't be a plastic and have supported Saints from all corners of the world but this time feels different, something has radically changed something ( for me anyway ) is irretrievably broken. For as long as those charlatans are at the club I will not even look at a Saints result or care if they win lose or draw. No more screaming from the stands, no more shouting at the TV. The game is gone
I don’t like the more corporate multi club model at all. Bring back the local businessman who owns the club

To think some time ok we were thought of as being a well managed club

Interesting quote from this:

What could be more likely is a triggering of clause 11.1 in the standard contract for professional players in England, which states that a player can terminate their contract by 14 days’ notice in writing to the club if the club “shall be guilty of serious or persistent breach of the terms and conditions of this contract…”.

“A good player on a three-year contract who has a market value of £10m could make a strong argument to terminate their contract for what is called just cause,” says Chapman.

“Saying that your employer has cheated and denied you the chance to play in the biggest game in football is a pretty reasonable argument. That could put them in a position as a free agent where they can command a very good deal. Rather than try to sue them for a load of money and all the complexities of that, I wonder if we might see some players considering whether to just terminate and get a good signing-on fee elsewhere.”

Yep me too - at the 'what could have been'
It's all quite mad. After the Hull game I thought we were likely to get relegated. I was very anti Tonda (just because I'd never heard of him and thought he was another "clever" SR appointment)
Then we had that run and I genuinely thought it was destiny to get to the FA Cup final and for the autos. I have never been so pleased to be wrong. We beat Arsenal and Fulham- I really thought we could make a decent fist of it if promoted to the PL.

He was "cheating" the entire time. How is it the light at the end of the tunnel was a ****ing train....

I'm genuinely a bit shell shocked and have absolutely no idea where we go from here. The worst bit is, I don't even think we've gone as far tits up as it's going to.

****ing hell

Seeing reports is what pisses fans off about SR. You’ve GOT to sack the bastard. He is the main reason we’re all sat at home this weekend after being chucked out of the final for HIS cheating. Unbelievable

Actually scrap that. I'm still ****ing livid.
I’m with you on this. What makes me even angrier is that nothing has been done about Eckert at least. The enquiry has been going on for 2 weeks, the club lost the case because of actions he was clearly and proven to be involved in, yet they still haven’t sacked the ****er or even made a statement concerning the conduct of certain staff members.
I’ve had enough of these pricks taking us fans for granted.

A Good read but lost it's credibility a bit here:

Ipswich and Oxford could also have a case, but the latter were relegated by a margin of four points so even a default victory being retrospectively applied would not change their fate, and Ipswich won automatic promotion.

Oxford won the ****ing match!!!

They’re waiting to see if he gets banned so can terminate that way with presumably no termination fee
